I truly appreciate the workmanship that you put into all of the shelves and flag that I purchased. I got the shelves unfinished and stained them myself, but the flag trap I received already painted is awesome.I am so happy with your products I am interested in purchasing more to sell in my store. My initial thoughts would be to purchase at least 2 of each shelf, and 2 of the red white & blue flags, and 2 of the darker flags.

I have been searching for some place to have a few of my guns readily available in case of an emergency and I happened to come across your product and was originally kind of iffy on wether the look and quality would be up to standard. Wow, I was pleasantly surprised with the long and shorter versions I bought! The wood is very nice and the quality of it is AAA. The craftsmanship is top notch, perfectly fitted and the concept works very well, opening easily and with the lights that were included, there's no problem seeing in an emergency if your power would happen to be out. The batteries for the lights and unit itself are easy to access and change out, plus the alert system when the batteries are running low is an added peace of mind. The unit opens very smooth and is rock solid. Plus if you have a few guns, etc stashed around your home, this is definitely a nice place to keep them instead of hiding them all over, and mounting them was pretty easy. I'm very happy with my purchase and can say if you're looking for somewhere to keep some items hidden but easily accessible these are for you. Classic looking piece of furniture but very functional! Well done!
I am truly amazed at the quality and craftsmanship put into my tactical trap shelf. I ordered the unfinished wood so I could stain my shelf to match the other cabinets in my man cave. The shelf arrived 100% ready for stain. No additional sanding or filling in trim nail holes. I stained and put on 3 coats of poly and mounted my shelf to the wall. Not only does it match everything it functions as promised! I will recommend tactical traps to anyone looking for excellent quality and top performance concealment.?
My 2 pistol shelves work great and look awesome.? No one would ever know theres a gun hid inside. My only issue is the Freedom Rifle shelf, it ???looks great but will not open with the key card.? I have contacted the company to get further instruction.? But all in all, I love it.

The install was fairly simple, it functions great, I only regret that I don't know more people I trust enough to show it off.
Love the shelve and the quality of how it was made. I did however have quite a bit of trouble getting it to close because the pin was not lining up. I have been to a lot of guns shows and seen a lot of secret shelves ,compartment etc.... and the overall fit and finish and craftsmanship of tactical traps is second to none , I like that it is also very easy to install. I am a custom home builder and we make a lot of our own wood beams,mantels so I don't buy a lot of other people's wood products because they are usually Crap but not tactical traps worth every penny!!!!
This thing is awesome it works great it's functional as a shelf and it's in plain site and I have shown it to three different people and I'm pretty sure they have bought one and or are soon to buy one. But I love mine as it looks great and serves a purpose it also serves a bigger purpose as what it hides.?

Craftsmanship and hardware are excellent, apperance is beautiful, instructions were simple and easy to follow; I gave it a 4\/5 because I did not like that the shelfs gas piston which allows the shelf to open. It was too small for me. I actually removed it and just replaced it with a cable to allow the shelf to open another 15 degrees which also allowed me to remove my rifle without bumping the barrel or stock against the inside of the shelf.
I have bought 4 tactical traps the last would be the American flag trap I purchased. My flag trap was two inches to small for my gun but it's okay.? I currently have a trap in both of my living rooms, kitchen, loft, and bedroom.
I love my shelf, it is the perfect size it fits well with my Decour. People walk past it and never know it is armed and dangerous. The three people who know what it is(wife and kids) refer to it as some James Bond stuff. It was very easy to mount and a nice piece to just look out, well-made and nicely finished.
I love the shelf and the privacy and security it offers, it's beautiful and functional There are two things that I think would make it better than the exceptional shelf it is, to make it extraordinary is one included proper screws, maybe one set for wood and one for sheetrock and probably more importantly an extra set of screws (larger than the ones included but will still work if you get locked out of the system and have to break the previous screw system which I did with the wonderful instructions when I called for help since I did not put my second shelf up for a few months.
I recently purchased the Flag wall mount & am very pleased with the ease of installation as well as it appearing as a piece of wall art in the house.? I would not have a problem recommending it to my friends or family.? There is room for pistols and magazines to be stored.

The shelf is beautiful and well crafted. The mechanism worked flawlessly. I'm blessed in that I haven't had to use it to access my firearm, but I am confident it will work just as flawlessly if I do need it. And to top it off, my wife loves the look of the shelf in our bedroom.
I very much like the shelf. It looks good and works well. I was a little disappointed in the foam that came with it however, I wish it had been thicker to better hold my handgun and Mags. Overall I was satisfied and would recommend this product as it does very well what it was designed to do.
I love my TacTrap, I would have given it a 5 but I think the RFID should be smaller and and to be hidden in the bottom of a candle or something. ?The card is not easy to hide

I have really enjoyed my shelf.? The quality is top notch.? The size is perfect for the items I want stored in there.? It fits the decor nicely and nobody suspects it is anything but a shelf.? That is all I could ask for, to feel that I am helping my home and family be more secure while remaining stealthy about it.
I absolutely love it. ?My only complaint was the closing of the shelf sometimes is difficult because the material was a tiny bit off. ?Otherwise the card and everything else works amazingly.
The shelf is the right size. Unfortuately the front flag cover does not fit flush with box part of the shelf. From the side you can tell that there is a box there. I looked up the instructions on how to adjust it, but the hinges I got on this trap are not ajdjustable.
Being a grandparent with any of our grandkids visiting at any time, the security of knowing our guns are out of sight and locked away is invaluable. The shelf is perfect. It looks like a high end floating shelf on it's own, but when I activate it, is an important party of my home security. Looks great, works great. I am now installing another in my home. Great product.
The shelf is beautiful: Perfect size for me. nice wood & well made. The reason for one star deducted is that the latch has been a problem. Sometimes it opens okay and other times it unlatches, but sticks unlocked but not open. I have to manually pull it down. I have called for help twice and tried the adjustment on the pin by turning slightly and then it may get worse. So, the best final adjustment that works for the moment may not work the next time. Not serious, but annoying and in an emergency . . . you know.

It does everything claimed in the advertising, easy to put up and adjust to work perfect. It looks good in my office, and I have one ordered for home. I would highly recommend, even without the free magnet!! LOL.
It looks and works great! Easier than I thought to mount. Cutting the foam is hard when you have 10 thumbs, but probably easy if you're normal. It looks great and works like it's supposed to.
I'm happy with my shelf. Only two things that troubled me. One I never received my light that comes with on either of my shelves. Second what do I do about my AR15 shelf. It operates fine but one side doesn't close quite as much as the second. Should I adjust the latch slightly? Other than that, your product is awesome. Love it.?
Love the shelf I did a little carpentry and installed keyhole screw mounts so I could get a super flush mount leveling was a challenge but I got it done the keyhole mounts make it more easy to remove if I want to paint the wall the black lacquer fits perfectly with my Asian decor

The shelf is a great size for my handgun and clips.? I feel better having access to my gun where it is now compared to waking up and fumbling for a key to a gun safe.? It was easy to hang.? I bought the unfinished model and stained it to match my room.? All in all a great product.? I definitely recommend this product.

I bought my Tactical Trap shelf in December 2017 and it arrived within a couple weeks.? I was impressed with the quality of the shelf and contrustion.? I have since mounted and modified the interior to hold my Sig Saur, extra mag, combat knife and small led flashlight.? It held up very well during mounting and the foam was easy to modify.? I definitely recommend this product for anyone wanting to add a concealment shelf to any part of their home.

I bought two shelves, one holds my Remington 870 shotgun, and the other holds my CZ75B and my M&P Shield with extra magazines.? They look great and provide the safety and availability I want.? Great products.
I have 2 shelves the smaller and the rifle one. I installed the smaller one outside the bedroom door close the the front door.? It has a Judge, and a tactical flashlight.? Both fit well.? The workmanship is excellent and the plain finish matches the cypress walsl well.? RATING HARD TO GO 5 BUT A 4.75.? Why the 4.75; I have trouble finding the sweet spot to place the card, then it drops kinda slow.? If I need it in a hurry, well....? When I redo the bedroom in my man cave home, I will install the Mini 30 and Technical light in it, just above the bed as a mantel below an awesome pen and ink drawing of a golden eagle flying off with a rainbow trout.
Tactical Traps?shelf is Ahmazing!? I ordered one but the color wasn't what I wanted, so I ordered another one in the right color and made arrangements to return the first.? Before I got the first one back in the package to return it, my son-in-law stopped by and was in love with it.? I ended up giving that one to him as an early birthday present.? Meanwhile, I was so happy with the one that I got that I ordered one of the flag shelf too!? They are well made, a great size, and well worth money.? I may well buy a few more as gifts for my other children's homes!
The shelf material and build quality is good. Not in love with the mounting system of just screwing the back board into the wall. Maybe there could be some metal plates inside to reinforce. This makes me fearful to put much weight into the shelf. The foam insert is almost useless. I had to purchase some foam from Amazon to make cut outs for my weapons. The shipping containers were quite flimsy and as a result one of my shelves arrived with some broken internal hardware. The price seems fairly premium for these units but I would recommend. I would just also include the issues I encountered in my recommendation.

It was a Christmas present for my husband & because your system didn't give me a timeline on when to expect my shelf, I had to send an email to you and request it.? But I did receive it in time and in fact, I received it one day sooner than what you advised me of when I did ask. ?The quality of work was as I expected and it was what was promised to me as well.? My husband loves it!!? I'm very satisfied with my purchase and would like to see what else you carry for future purchases.? I would still give you a big fat?5?because?even though I had to contact you to find out when it would be shipped, your staff responded to me so quickly and they were true to their timeline that they gave me.??Hands down, still a better vender to work with then most other venders I shopped at this year.
I did have some problems once I installed the unit. When I put the prox. card to it I could hear the mechanism release but it wouldn't open. I contacted the company and they were great to deal with, they sent me an air bladder tool that I used to open the storage section of the shelf. I then texted a picture of the locking mechanism to the company and they immediately sent out a new locking post that had a ring removed near to where the post sits in the lock. I installed the new part and it has worked great since. I have recommended it highly to friends and family.
I have bought 2 of your shelves. I have one in our bedroom and one in the living room. I have placed them in a convenient place so that my wife or I can easily get to them. They also look nice with the rest of our decore. We haven't had to use them as of yet but, at least they are there if we have to.

I received the flag box the other day and had to wait for the weekend so I had time to mount it properly. After three or four measurements, it now proudly hangs on my wall - I would give it ?50? stars, but 5 will have to do.
I purchased the shelf as a gift for my son-in-law. He is quite the craftsman and a perfectionist. He is beyond thrilled!? He is very impressed with the mechanics of it. How well made it is and how smoothly it opens. And he is able to keep one of his many handguns so easily accessible but so well hidden. He truly loves it. I took off .5 stars because mine didn't come with a light and I had to reach out for one to be shipped. Great quality, awesome company, easy to install. Advice ? include pick and pull foam to make the customization easier. Provide smaller keycard so it's easier to hide the key under smaller objects. Other than that, I love it. I do recommend you all the time. Have sent out a lick to your site at least ten times. Love it.
I bought two tactical traps from your company. The smaller of the two being for handguns and the other for long guns. I really like the way it?s made. They are a very solid, sturdy and nice looking piece of furniture. ?Unfortunately I had some trouble with a lock not operating properly. I believe it had to with the battery life. fortunately your people, much to their credit, were up to the task in helping me fix the problem and move forward. If I were to make a suggestion I would change the way the trap is shipped so as to not risk battery \/ lock failure. Maybe have the buyer remove a plastic tab that would activate the battery of even have the battery installed when ready to use. Other than that I?m very happy with my pieces and would definitely spread the word.?

I would and have recommend the shelf to others. I've enjoyed my shelfs and like everything about them, although i do have a slight issue with the large one.It doesn't always open by it's self when unlocking it. When it doesn't I have to push up on it to get it to drop. I have you found that after closing it, it sometimes helps to push up on both ends multiple times, even though it is already closed and locked. My best guess is the locks aren't lined up quite right and it hangs up.

It's a solid and beautiful piece with the mechanism working well. It did take some time however to install solidly and level, so it would be nice if in the future you provide mounting pieces and a stencil.?

I have had my TacticalTrap now for several months and I love it. The finish is excellent and resembles a fine wood product, and by chance matches my entry mirror\/coat rack perfectly. The mounting system you designed seems to be very secure, no movement at all even when filled with weapon and spare magazines. The operation is easy and smooth, with the extra key cards provided I an able to have several opening options, which makes it more accessible. If I have any criticism it is that for me the shelf opens a bit too slow. Perhaps this is because either the gas struts are new or I don't have enough weight in it, but when I need access I really don't want to wait for it to open, hope this improves with use. The fit and finish is awesome and the size is perfect for my application, couldn't be happier as your product has solved one of the biggest issues with having a self defense weapon readily at had, but still secure... good job!
I have had back surgery recently so I have not had the time or the power to mount but one of the shelves and I can tell you the night I had the surgery There was a loud banging and the doorbell was going crazy at 3:15 am in the morning. Now I live in the country setting somewhat and there is never any good news at your front door at 3:15 in the morning.. I had to answer the front door but not without having piece of mind as the shelf worked in perfect order and I had my hand on my 9mm Taurus as my other hand was on the front door. It turned out there were two deputies from a neighboring county asking permission to go into my back field as they were chasing a suspect running from them. I can attest without your product and the work you guys do I would have been in a very different situation. I give you guys 5 stars on how well it is built and access into this shelf is absolutely flawless! Recommend one of these in every gun owners home. They won't be disappointed.
I could not believe it when I opened the package. I had high expectations, and they were clearly met. The color was exactly what I had requested, as was the size. But as I examined the shelf, I was impressed by the quality of craftsmanship that went into making this. There is nothing flimsy about this shelf, nor would anyone suspect it concealed my pistol. It just looks like an ornate shelf that matches my furniture. It does make a slight clicking sound when the RFID card is slid over the activation spot (I opted for the RFID over the magnet), but it would not be discernible to an intruder. The secret compartment opens easily and absolutely silently, and makes the weapon easily accessible. The interior has adhesive backed foam rubber that will need to be cut to fit a gun. I wish it had been a tad thicker, but it worked just fine. The instructions with the shelf were very clear and detailed. I would and do recommend this shelf to anyone seeking to keep a weapon handy yet hidden, and who desires a product that is solidly and beautifully made. I am very pleased with my purchase, as is my wife.

I bought 2 shelves and they are fantastic 5 star rating. The shelves arrived in the time period given and looked beautiful out of the box. My wife was skeptical when I ordered them but she loves how the look and she uses them more than I do. Its not just for storing a gun, she stores our passports and other travel documents, plus an emergency stash of money. I have a Tactical Trap shelf and absolutely love it. Not only does it look and feel like a solid, well crafted shelf, it works phenomenally well. Mounting it took less than an hour and was simple. I have two Tacital Trap shelves. One large one over the fireplace and one small one. I liked the small one so much with the Glock, we purchased the larger one. I highly recommend it.
I would say I?m very pleased with the craftsmanship and the ease of installation. I love the shelf for various reasons. Starting with I?ve mounted it high to where children can?t access the shelf and have hidden the card glued on the bottom of a vase to be more inconspicuous. I?ve had many many people in the house and they have never known the ease of access to protection for the residence. Two of my closest friends, I?ve shown the trap and how it works: they have ordered one for themselves. My wife and I both agree that the times have changed and we have both once a month walk through a scenario together just so you have a response under pressure. The Tact Trap is very well thought of at our house: enough to have two in the house to cover ease of access. I really need the bigger trap for the larger weapon but will have to save a little more.
The cases are beautiful and totally functional, if I can get my wife to quit misplacing her keys!!! Hold all weapons securely, with mags, open quickly and relatively quietly. I have 3, 2 are totally functional and I need help with the large shelf. MY FAULT!!! I received the shelf and then moved, it got stored away in my garage while I decided where to mount in the new house, and for a WHILE my wife and I heard a muffled beeping sound, which died. I now have discovered that it was the batteries dying in the shelf, and I can't open it. HELP!!!!!
I ordered both sizes of shelves. I did upgrade the thickness of wood on the larger one. I am extremely happy with the size, craftsmanship, and price of the units. I have never mentioned the use of the shelf to any visitor who visits my house. Most comment how great a job I did building them. The locking mechanism has gone off without a hitch so far. I ordered in the plain wood, it was fun to stain in order to get it to match my furniture, it blends in with the room amazing and most of all gives me peace of mind in an emergency situation. I have both the large and small shelf. They work great. I am looking to purchase another soon for my addition. My dad liked them so much, he also bought two for his home. Installation is easy with two people. A little tough doing it myself, especially the 4 foot shelf. Maybe have a locking bracket system that you can install and slide shelf down onto to hold. Then you could add a couple of screws to secure it.

The craftsmanship is outstanding. I purchased the rifle and 2 pistol versions for myself. The rifle version has plenty of room for an AR platform , several mags and a knife and flash light. I have yet to open the 2 pistol version. I gave 4.75 stars, instead of 5 because I was under the impression that a single magnet placed on top of the shelf would release the shelf.....the model I received required 2 magnets be placed in very particular places on the bottom of the she to release the locks. While this doesn't make it useless, I think it would be very difficult to accomplish under high stress conditions. I therefore intend to use it mainly for covert storage and not as my go to for emergencies. I am hoping the smaller version is what was depicted on the website. Still thrilled with the tactical trap for its innovation and quality.....slightly disappointed with the locking system.
The quality of the shelf I have received is excellent, beautifully stained and an exceptional addition to my home. Works wonderfully and stores my weapons without the unsightly appearance of firearms in a house with children. The comfort of knowing they are within easy access should I need them gives me a peace of mind only a mother with combat experience could understand. As a combat veteran, I understand, "Security is a perception...not a reality." My only fault with the your service is I still haven't recieved the light that was to accompany the shelf. If they are now in stock, may I have it shipped to the above address? I have the blue paper stating it would be shipped to me.
I love the shelf, but I haven't been able to put it up yet. It is 3\/8" too long to go anywhere in my house. The long walls are filled with windows, beds, sofas, fireplaces, built-ins or something I can't move. The short walls, like either side of the front door in the foyer, are 3\/8" too short for the shelf. I have wood trim moulding around every opening, and I can't cut a 3\/8" piece out of the door facing so the shelf will fit. I am considering giving up my piano, which would open up a spot, even though I don't want to do that. I measured before I ordered, but I didn't consider the moulding. I only measured the walls in the entry, and saw it would be tight. I have a big, 2 story house, with 3000 sq. ft downstairs. So I thought, "If it won't fit there, I'll find someplace to put it." I never dreamed it wouldn't fit on any wall in the house. But it is beautiful and I love it. The quality is superb, which only makes it harder. It has been a terrible dilemma for us. If you have any ideas, I would be eager to hear them. Thanks. And I look forward to hearing from you, and also getting the magnet holder.
The only limitations I had was the place I wanted to put it was to narrow to fit the shelf in. I had to put it in the second choice place.I have already recommended it to several people.
I live outside of Los Angeles and I bought myself one for my Business. I own a towing Company and at times we get some real irate people. My shelf is hanging right near the dispatch and release desk with towing items like die cast trucks on it etc.. a couple pictures. I was on vacation a couple months ago and my office was burglarized and the only thing the crooks took were a couple phones and cameras . Never found my Glock 10 mm in my tactical shelf, I was impressed by the workmanship\/ It looked great . I wasn't very happy about the delivery time as it took a very long time to get the shelf to me. But once it was here i was very happy with my purchase.. I found the shelf to be of high quality with a professional finish. It was easy to follow the installation instructions to set it in place in my Living Room close to the front door. The magnetic lock is easy to open reliably and the interior will support the pistol and magazines or even two pistols. I strongly recommend this shelf for a safe and secure place to hide a self defense weapon in plain sight.

5 stars plus if that is an optune.I installed the trap in a short time and set it up, carving out the fit for my pistol, two mags and a flashlight. It went pretty well and holds every thing in place and yes i would recommend this unit to any one needing a fast access to your weapon. I bought the smaller one { 3ft } not having the wall space but it can hold another pistol if I needed it. The trap itself works great with easy access in an isolated area giving me piece of mind. I love my tactical shelve. The shelve it?s self looks like a normal wall shelve and nothing special stands out about it. The tac works like a dream each and every time. Never fails to open. The shelve is very well built, and really people... I was surprised on how well and expensive it really looks. I store two hands two clips & one tac flashlight. I?m thinking of buy two more for Christmas presents for my sons...
We love our shelf. It was a Christmas present for my boyfriend. It has become the mantle we didn't have! Family pictures and current holiday cards and decorations have a nice place for display now. No one suspects it is anything other than a nicely placed shelf:) Installation and operation were easy to figure out! Great quality, and it arrived almost instantly! My two cents: I love my "trap" but if I were to change one thing, I'd make it a little less deep. Meaning it's difficult to find a place to hang it, at least for me, in my house. I can't hang it in a hallway without me or my wife worrying about hitting our heads or close to a door for the same reason. I have the perfect place for it where cover from entry points is great but I can't hang it there because it would stick out into a doorway too far. Don't get me wrong, it has its application and I'm not saying that you should stop making this shelf. Maybe make another shelf that is a few inches less in depth. Granted, it won't hold as much but it will have more available applications.

I bought two of your shelves, the regular size and the larger shelf, almost twice the size. The smaller one I have by my front door with two full full size handguns each with two extra magazines. The larger one is in my Family room holding two 9mm carbines and extra magazines for them. I ordered both in their bare state so I could finish them to accent where they were to be hung. The workmanship is very nice, and I didn?t have much prep work at all. Hanging them was just as easy and once on the wall, they?re solid and look great. I receive lots of comments and no one suspects they?re holding what they are. I?ve recommended them to several friends of mine that are more serious about home protection, especially once they see how easy, yet secure they are.
I bought 4 shelves , two for me and two for gifts for close friends. Since they are close friends they deserve the security and safety these shelves provide. I figured what better way to say thanks for your friendship and support, than to help them protect themselves and their families.......safely. Well the cool part was they loved them. One friend had his on the wall the next day when I stopped by. Had it stocked w\/ his favorite 9 and mags. And it was beautiful. Great shelf for family pics and you cannot tell it is more than just a high quality picture shelf. I did have a glitch w\/ a broken latch on one shelf and I called the company. It was the fault of the shipper, not the manufacturer. Still they had the replacement part to me in a couple of days, no questions asked. Great Company to work with, great product.

The largest shelves hold my AR-10 as well as my Glock 19X and a mag or two.. The smaller shelf holds two pistols and two mags... Or will as soon as I get a couple more magnets... I bought the Natural Burnt Wood Flag as well.. Absolutely love them all... The way they open is perfect... I had been wanting one for a very long time so I bought three.. I would definitely recommend all three of them for any application on any wall... The two shelves are in two different businesses and the FLAG is on my wall at home. Hello ,Im pleasantly surprised by the quality of your shelves. I did end up buying two of the shelves. So far the smaller shelve in my bed room is holding my Kimber micro. The activation device is smooth, and steady and cradle my Kimber like a baby. I would definetly recommend these shelves to anyone that looking to conceal there guns, and protect there love one. looking forward to hanging the bigger shelf in my new home.
1. The shelf is well built and of quality materials. 2. Easy to install per provided instructions. 3. The foam inlay will accommodate any size hand gun\/s and you can cut out extra spots for clips as well. 4. The new back-up feature is an added plus if your batteries die and you haven't had a chance to replace them. I would highly recommend this shelf because even though it is not a safe it can keep your gun out of sight and away from small children as they will not know that you have hidden away. And as always be safe and smart when storing your guns.

These shelves are awesome! I tried to have some made before I found your company?s videos. Even the best carpenters couldn?t figure out how to make a shelf with a hidden gun storage that didn?t look obvious with exposed hinges. I bought 3 shelves: 2 standard (one for valuables and the other for ?home safety? devices. The 3rd for my birding shotgun. They look beautiful and match my decor. I also got the thick steel door protector. No one will ever kick in my front door! I love and highly recommend your products.
I received your email about our purchase for the Tactical shelves. After receiving the Tactical shelves that my family and I purchase from your company we installed them in our home. After teaching my immediate family how to use them and to properly secure our weapons, it was unanimous that everybody was very impressed with both of the shelves. Also, I have shown these same shelves to several people (that I trust and with whom I work with L.E.), and the response has was overwhelming, requesting contact information and web addresses for your company. About the only thing that I could think of to change the shelves would be purely cosmetics by way of adding additional Woods that you use in your building of the shelves, and for our taste would be a solid Oak, Maple, or Black Walnut (combination of woods). As far as the construction, there doesn't appear to be any thing that I would change at all. The product is functional, very nice looking and is in place with our interior decorations, extremely sturdy (and we'll built) when properly mounted, the locking mechanism and the Hydraulics all work fabulously. The compartment is ample size to hold the weapons and items I have stored away that I selected to be stored and each of the two particular shelves. From a Glock model 27 to my AR-15. The security lock works well and appears to both hold the shelving close tightly and secured. I will continue to recommend your products to family, friends, and co-workers. I am also a department and civilian Firearms instructor. I have been asked if I could take the smaller shelf and a magnet to one of our general meetings so our members can see, touch, try them. My wife and I would both rate the Shelves with 5 stars.

I purchased my Tactical Trap and installed it right next to my desk. It is a very well made product that I highly recommend it for anyone needing such an item. Installation was not hard once I figured out where the stud was in my wall and centered the shelf. I used butterfly anchors on either side to secure it to the sheet rock. I highly recommend using a level to insure you keep the shelf level when drilling. Customer service was great while I was awaiting shipment. They kept me well informed throughout the build process.

My shelf arrived a few weeks ago, but I had to finish moving in to install it. Did that today. First the quality was excellent. Hardware and lock are strong and durable. I used four 2 1\/2 wood screws with two in studs (short wall near a corner) and it is very stable. My wife is pleased with the appearance and is looking for things to put on the shelf. My only problem was that the lock didn't close easily, but Bree in Customer Support sent a link that was spot on. Easy fix and my Sig 226 is snug and ready if needed. Great product that I have and will continue to recommend to others.

My shelf works great although I do have to press up on the bottom while activating the magnet release or it won?t open. To me it provides another safety step only I know about My flag trap is perfect. My only desire is that it would open automatically upon release of the magnet. It looks like a nice piece of Americana art.
Let me start by saying I love the shelves. I have one and I purchased one for my son. As for a rating I would say 4.5. I see 2 flaws. Due to my personal to my handicaps and my experience with wood I would like to see addressed. One; If I remember correctly the mounting instructions said use mollies. My attempt to drill aligned me with a wall stud. Personally if I can put a screw into a stud I would rather that than a molly. Even if the holes are not evenly spaced I would still try to get at least one screw into a stud. In the situation that somebody does hit the stud, you do not advise what type of screw to use. With mt wood experience I went to a 2 inch cabinet screw or I could have used a Pan Head screw. Someone with less experience may use a Sheet Rock or a Flat Head screw witch would cause the mounting board to split or crack. This possibly could have rendered the shelf unsturdy or worse, unusable. Two: Design a way of replacing the batteries without having to open the unit or design a way to open the unit if the batteries go dead without having to do damage to the shelf attempting to open it. I understand there is a warning that the batteries are weak, but I go away for extended periods of time in which that warning would not be heard. A personal disadvantage I have also is Tinnitus. Even if I am there I will not hear the warning signal. I have taken precautions and mark my calendar to remind me to change the batteries. I know I have special handicaps to cater to but some sort of secondary way to open the shelf wouldn't be a bad idea. Thanks for listening and thanks for asking for input.
I bought 2 shelves, a 52R and a 35S not knowing what to expect as far as quality goes. They were a little on the pricey side, but as a business owner I understand the cost in R&D & materials. The company states its products are made in the USA, so the higher price was worth it to me knowing it was built in the US while supporting our own workers. When you have a niche product that people want, they will buy it. The build quality is excellent and these traps meet my expectations. Great design, great product and great customer service. Be advised, these take time to build. I'm use to getting everything off the ol' interwebs in 2 days. However, these are made to order, custom built and mine took about 3-4 weeks. Be patient, they are worth it.
I definitely recommend the tactical shelf. It works great and conceals 2 of my pistols completely. It also looks beautiful as just the shelf.
I have purchased two tac-trap shelves. By far some of the coolest shelves I have seen. I give them 5 star on the quality and design. I have many friends that all have side arms sitting in the drawers. I showed them mine,(only a select few that I can trust) and a few of my buddies actually bought them as well. I can?t say all the great things I need to say, people must see them to really appreciate them. Great shelves guys keep up the good work. As my fire arm collection grows, I?ll be purchasing more shelves.

The shelf is the right size for my application. It looks very nice, and it holds a full-size defensive handgun and extra magazine, all completely hidden from view. I would recommend this shelf to others.

I have enjoyed my Tactical Shelf. I have located it inside our front door for easy access if a situation for access to a gun should ever arise. The shipping was fast and the quality of the woodworking was outstanding. It would be a good looking quality product for almost any interior. I purchased two shelves, one for myself and the second for a fellow Officer. We both have it strategically mounted in our respective homes. As 30 year veterans of Law Enforcement and approaching retirement, this was the ideal and most practical gift for him (and to myself). I only wish this was available earlier on in our careers. This product definitely warrants the highest rating possible and I have recommended it to others, not only Law Enforcement but to anyone that may keep a firearm in their home or place of business.
I bought the big and small shelves. A little difficult hanging the really big one, kind of awkward. Bought both without stain. Had a hard time matching a color for birch that went with our other wood in the house, but none of the prefinished ones were close either. Ended up mixing two colors. Other than that, we are very satisfied with our shelves.

Great customer service and a beautiful product. You were great about exchanging my shelf for a size that worked better for me, and for replacing a light that didn't work. The shelf looks great in my new home. I haven't cut out the foam for my guns because I'm waiting to get a new pistol. I did find it a little tricky to find a trinket to use to disguise my credit card sized opening magnet, but I took on the challenge and found something cool. Your photos\/videos show a much smaller object, so I'm assuming that the magnets got larger since you did those photos. Otherwise, all is good!
I love the shelf and have it mounted in an easy to reach area in my front room. No one knows what is in it, unless I tell them. I would rate it five stars in construction, and in finish. Love the lock system and the ease of opening along with the lights inside. It was easy to install, and looks great
I like the shelf very much, it is not really noticeable and it is working very well. I did have to put a new battery in it immediately as the one that came with it wasn?t up to snuff. After that it has worked just fine. I have a Sig elite 45 and a full clip besides installed in it and I test it regularly. I also installed the motion sensor light that arrived a little later and it works fine also. I give it 5 stars.

I was so impressed with the Tactical trap that I received. It is exceptionally crafted. I've told a few of my friends about it, two of them order their own tactical traps. It is a highly recommended product from me. I want to order the AR trap. Also their customer service rocks!
Positives: I like the first one so much I bought a second one. Seems to color match well with the furniture. Appears discreet and well constructed. Recommended to my friends. All in all a fantastic product. Highly recommended. Negatives: The foam that comes with it seems to be a little bit thin could be thicker would hold weapons a lot better. Locking mechanism seems to stick sometimes even after adjusting it. Have more colors available.
The shelf is attractive, stylish and sturdy. Even the wife is happy with it. In a three story house it gives me peace of mind to know my beretta .40 is 3 seconds away and the grandkids have no idea its there.
I received my tactical shelf from my wife as a Christmas gift. It is the first tactical concealment device I have owned. I did run into an issue while installing it. I experienced difficulty mounting the shelf as the studs in the wall weren't exactly 16" on center. Making the shelf a couple of inches longer would help with that issue. The shelf is extremely well made and the finish is flawless. The shelf was initially a bit sluggish opening, however, it has loosened up and now opens perfectly. I've shown the shelf to several friends and family and they plan to order one also.
I ordered a tactical trap when I was remodeling, I was very excited to receive it!! I mounted it with ease and was very pleased, I had went on vacation and when I got back the trap would not open!! I contacted support and they were very responsive and guided me through my ordeal!! I am very happy now! I was reluctant at first, thinking it to be more a novelty item. The shelf I have is a long shelf for 1 long gun (AR 15 maybe) or 2 pistols plus ammo. When it arrived I was very satisfied. It's high quality manufactured and wonderful finish. It would look good in any home for any reason. I keep it in my office and it matches my desk and shelves perfectly. practical as well as tactical usage. I'd recommend the product to anyone that wants quick access but secure storage and a classy shelf.
My shelf is 35.5 inch's wide, dark mahogany color. I do regret not buying one a little bigger, maybe one day I will buy a larger one! When I received the shelf I had to do a little adjusting on the hinge. Once adjusted everything is wonderful. We love the look and quality. I purchased my first shelf for my two pistols and found the installation simple. The shelf is well made and looks great. Everyone that has seen it has been impressed with the quality and the method of opening it. Oh and I also purchased two more shelves- one for each daughter. The needed the longer versions for their rifles. All of us couldn't be happier with our purchase. I plan on buying one more shelf for myself as soon as we move into our new home.
I already had one Tactical Trap shelf installed at home, and was considering a "trap" for another room, and didn't want it to appear that there were decorative shelves placed randomly around the house. Enter the Tactical Trap Flag. It is beautiful! Looks like a hand made art project, and belongs just about anywhere. Easy to mount, and plenty of room for a second firearm or spare magazines. The included light and magnet (to hold the steel frame of the firearm flat against the back of the trap) complete the package. Will definitely purchase again!

I found the tactical trap shelf I purchased to be everything I hoped for! The craftsmanship was excellent and it worked as promised and was large enough for my weapons and a little room left over to stash a few other items. I didn't like the fact that the foam for the inside was shipped separately as it meant I had to wait a while to be able to use my shelf. Bottom line is would I recommend this shelf to friends and strangers alike and the answer is yes, wholeheartedly, it works as advertised and is American made!, enough said.

I've had my tac shelf installed for about 4 months in my living room. It is a very quality piece of furniture. Everyone has commented how rich and beautiful it is. It really is a solid and well made shelf and the finish (dark walnut) is smooth and perfect. It accents the room nicely, and rivals other furniture that I paid hundreds or even thousands of dollars for. The installation was easy (with help from a friend), and it is solidly mounted to my wall. Mechanically, it functions smoothly and consistently. Anyone who sees the shelf sees only a quality wall accent; it hides its secret perfectly.
I love the shelf, and no one can tell it is a tactical trap! Made a tribute to my parents and I am ready anywhere in case someone tries anything. Only reason it was 4 stars instead of 5 is because I didn't receive the led lights for it.
I actually got 2 of your tactial traps (shelves) they are for a new house that I am building. I pulled them out of the box and checked them over, they seem to work just fine. but I have not installed them yet. from what I have seen these are a 5 star item. I have already sugested to a couple of buddies they should get one!

My shelf arrived unfinished as I requested so I could match the color to my wife's preferences. Packing of the shelf was excellent. Instructions for use were clear and easy to understand. After applying the finish the shelf was hung and Not only was I impressed with it, but so was my wife. I would definitely recommend to anyone who may be interested if even slightly.
The cabinate I ordered is beautiful and works as advertised. I have three small things I would improve. 1. I'm not sure if u added adhesive for the light or if I did but it keeps falling off the top. 2. Having a secondary way to access if the lock batteries die. 3. Making the shelf possibly a bit bigger so I can add all my magazines for the two guns I have stored in it. These are small items that would not stop me from buying another shelf and in the near future I will be buying another shelf. I still would give 5 out of 5 stars.

To be honest I love the shelf. it is a beautiful piece of cabinetry, and it works as advertised. I currently have two hand guns in it. Three things however I would change 1. the tape for light doesent hold the light securely. 2. Having a secondary way to open the lock if batteries die. 3. making it just a bit larger. so I can add all my magazines. All of them. These are however small details, and they wouldn't stop me from buying another shelf.
First I would like the area with the gun to be a little bit deeper...maybe half to three quarter inches.. secondly the foam to be pre cut in small squares (not all the way through) make easier to pre- fit the gun, clip etc.... And finally when I ordered my shelf I was promised a tactical flashlight.which I never received. I emailed but no response. I would recommend this product and have shown to trusted friends
You shelf is one of the best. Definitely a 5 star rating although it took some time to get I'm thrilled with the shelf well made and looks like a regular book shelf and knowing I got instant access to my home defense is worth the wait.

My shelf was easy to install, the dark finish goes well with rest of furniture. Had a little bit of one of the latches sticking when opening and closing. Did a bit of a adjustment, working fine.

I love my Tactical Trap Shelf. Purchased mine in the ebony color and I get TONS of decor compliments on it. If they only knew. Lol! Cutting the foam was easy, but as instructed, I recommend that you take your time for a great fit. My weapon and gear fits great and never slips. The installation is a bit tricky in that the board that mounts against the wall could be made a bit more solid to prevent sinking of screws, but once you sink the first one, you learn, and the others go smoothly. That's my only knock on the Tactical Trap, thus the 4.5 stars. Otherwise it's a solid piece that every freedom loving American should consider having in their home. Besides, it's sturdy, it's functional, and it's beautifully made! I've bought crappy particle board shelves that wouldn't hold a fraction of the weight nor were they as architecturally beautiful. I'm buying 2 more in April!
Bought the tactical trap online and it arrived in a timely manner and just as advertised. It was packaged perfectly and there were no defects. The shelf worked great until I locked myself out ( closed it with no batteries inserted just as the instructions said not to do) and was unable to get in touch with anyone from the company. I'm still waiting on a response. That is the reason why I gave 4 stars but I would still recommend the product to anyone interested.

We actually have purchased 2 shelves. Our daughter got the one for us for Christmas at my suggestion. WE LOVE IT. The other we gave as a gift and they love it as well. I would recommend this product to everyone. It is beautiful, fits nicely with our decorations and completely conceals our safety plan. The only thing I could see as an improvement is if there was a preformed lining according to what gun you are planning on using in it. Or maybe have different forms as optional linings. The cutting out the foam to fit the gun as very PAINFUL! Even with a brand new blade in an utility knife, painful. We like the quality of the shelf although the latch does not always open and it has to be encouraged with a gentle push upwards. We keep thinking we should be able to adjust it but have not had a chance to do so. The color and wood are beautiful and fit nicely with our d?cor. The shelf is great.? My experience ordering it on-line was super simple.? The only reason I will not give it 5 stars is because it was supposed to come with an LED light and it didn't.? I ended up reaching out to Tactical Traps and asking where my light was and they were very responsive and sent it in the mail.? I will definitely recommend Tactical Traps.? One hiccup, we're all human, thus the 4 stars.
I have it in my den by my lazy boy chair and everyone thinks it is just a great lookin piece of furniture not knowing that it conceals two (2) hand guns. I feel that it keeps my hand guns out of reach of my grand children but easily accessible if I have to get to them.
I purchased the small shelf and have been very happy with it. It is of good quality, looks nice and the application is awesome! I installed it in my dinning room.... if looks the part and no one would ever guess what is inside. I would give this product a 5 star rating based on quality, Ingenuity And appearance, however I do have a few issues. 1. The shelf does not open as quickly as I would like. Once Unlocked it takes about 5 seconds to fully open. 2. It did not come with mounting hardware so I had to pre drill and get some wood screws. Not a big deal at all, I just would have thought it would have come with pre drilled mounting holes. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone that wants a safe, secure hidden location for home defense or any other hiding spot.

I really like your product and my wife agrees! Safe way to store a handgun and still have it available. I added a flashlight also! You might consider offering is as a safe place for passports and ready cash.
I purchased the new Flag Trap. Love the product except for two things, 1 and this is fairly minor, the nicely varnished flag was sent with an envelope taped with packing tape to the varnish. When the tape came off, so did the varnish. 2 I have two guns I keep in it, a new S&W SDV6, mostly plastic, stays in the foam just fine. Secondly, an older model S&W 5930, mostly metal, much heavier, will not stay in the foam at all when mounted on the wall. I had to put two screws, one inside and one behind the trigger guard to hold it in place. It's a great product with minor changes.
A couple of reason are as follows. 1. I order the wrong color shelf and just by emailing the company and with no hassle I was able to return it for a different color. Great customer service. 2. I love the shelf. No one know that it actually holds a couple pistols and that is great. I have already recommended you other family members and a few friends. I may even buy another to add decor to our house. I hope to receive one of the magnets as it also should have great uses.

I received the shelf and was very pleasantly surprised by the actual quality of the shelf. We had just remodeled our living room so I ordered the specific color to match and it nailed it. I brought several buddies that I truly trust over to check it out and it works great. They thought it was amazing. I shot a video of me opening it to my folks and they loved it. I would give the shelf a 5 star rating on fit up as well as durability and quality and recommend them as a great source for this type of product. I have two pistols cut into it and they lay right there until needed. Thanks again for providing my family with a great product with concealed protection.

I am very happy with the quality and workmanship of my shelf. It is both sturdy and elegant enough to hang in a place pf prominence in my home. I actually docked them a star and a half a half star is that when I ordered the shelf I was excited for its arrival. Well it showed up in a very reasonable time frame but both the foam insert and LED light were not in the box. I had a note in the box stating that they would be following on in a separate box due to supplier issues. I figured ok so I waited patiently, for 8 weeks that is when I decided to call. The speed and politeness that my call was handled with won them back a full star. Not one single issue with getting the foam and light out to me after validating my purchase. Thank you for a quality product at a reasonable price.
YES I WOULD RECOMMEND GETTING A COUPLE OF THESE HIDDEN TACTICAL TRAP SHELVES. I HAVE TWO, ONE THAT'S UNDER MY BIG SCREEN TV AND ANOTHER ONE THAT'S MOUNTED UNDER A PORTRAIT IN TWO DIFFERENT LOCATIONS. THESE ARE MADE WITH HIGH QUALITY MATERIALS AND THEY LOOK AWESOME.

The craftmanship and quality of this shelf is superior. I have both the larger version for an AR and handgun and smaller version for a handgun, magazines and Rambo knife. Supports the weight fine since I upgraded to thicker wood cuz I was thinking longterm usage. I actually broke a small component during install and offered to buy a replacement. Not only did they NOT charge me, they sent me 2 replacements in case Im not so smart (again). An under-shelf lite for one of my units was not packaged, as a human-kind mistake, and was immediately shipped out. In my opinion...Great PRODUCT, Great COMPANY I would highly recommend the product.

Outstanding! We are still in the process of moving into the new house so all I have done is stain (I ordered the unfinished version in order to match up with our darker cherry stained furniture) and attach the shelf in our bedroom above my chest of drawers. I have worn out the first set of batteries showing off the shelf to friends, family and neighbors and listening to the "How cool is that?" responses as the bottom drops down to reveal the pistol hidden within. I don't usually buy things off the internet but I was drawn to the shelf like a bug to a light and I could not have been more pleased with the result of the purchase. As we say in Texas - "Oh hell yes, way to go!".

The design is tactical as is implied. No one would suspect that this shelf with nicnaks on it was a home protection device. It gives you a secure feeling when you hear the bump in the night. The shelf was fairly easy to install. It looks very good and is very functional. No one that looks at it has any idea that I have two pistols and cash hidden inside of it. Best of all I can gain access to my loaded firearms within seconds and they are safe from anyon

Hi, my name is Michael and I've received the shelf in the past. I like the product and idea (five stars for that). I did have an issue with the quality and had to send pictures and emails regarding until I got an authorization to send it back. Once that was done, I was satisfied. I've had my double pistol shelf now for going on two years. Still works flawlessly. I have the electronic lock. Wish I could get rid of the music sound the lock makes when triggered. Awesome product and great quality.
The trap has been everything that I hoped it would be. I did have a problem mounting the unit to my wall as the back of The shelf was not square to insure that the mounting was level. I had to shim the back of the unit to get the proper fit. Sure hope I?m eligible for the magnet.
Just want you to know that I really love my tactical shelf and thinking of buying one for my motorhome. It's worth more than a five star rating. I had a friend help me install it, took maybe thirty minutes, probably less if we had not had a beer or two. The shelf is constructed with high grade material, easy to operate and beautifully designed. Also thinking of buying one for my nephew who with the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office in Phoenix. The shelves are GR8, I got 2 short shelves and a long one. They are very nice. I gave one of the short ones to my dad, as a present and he loves it. I am planning on a few more as gifts in the future. I got the unfinished ones ,so that they can be finished to blend in with room d?cor. My only concern is with the locking system on the older style if the battery fails. I see that has been remedied with the new ones. I may have to switch mine with a newer one and gift the older style to someone(is that bad)?
I give the shelf 5 stars! Love the quality of the materials and mechanism. It's nice enough that I got no resistance from my wife when I went to hang it in a spot in the house where it'll be seen by everyone. Little will they know!
The shelf itself is wonderful? great appearance, great quality, works as advertised. Only complaint is I was supposed to receive LED lighting to go with my order (I was told it would ship separately), and I never got it. Perhaps you could send it with my magnet? That would be swell! I also bought the laser deal from you guys, love those as well!!!
I purchased 2 tactical traps. Recently. I gave one to my Son the small one for a birthday present. It is well placed in his home and looks fantastic. I have not installed my larger one yet. It will support my shadow box. I can?t wait.
I want you to know that we ALL love our Tactical Traps shelves. I kept a set for my own use, I gave a set to my son, and a set to my son-in-law. They were fabulous Christmas presents, and the guys love them and appreciate the convenience of storing their weapons out of sight while having them at arm's length if the need should arise. The shelves are beautiful.
My shelf works fine. The only problem I experienced was that the shelf arrived with minor damage because of inadequate packaging. Fortunately, the damage is minor and not particularly noticeable, if it was any worse, I would have returned it. The shelf had only the thin cardboard box covering it. There should have been a layer of styrofoam or bubble wrap to protect it. I do not need a magnet.

Very reliable. Looks like it has always been in my house. Very minor complaint: The light included with it sometimes does not turn on. I keep a tactical light in the unit along with self defense items. I would recommend it to anyone concerned about personal safety.

It gives me tremendous peace of mind to have my Ruger .40 in your tactical shelf right on the wall near my front door. I am thinking of getting another one for my bedroom wall. I love my shelf and even talked two of my friends into ordering their own. That was easy, it was simply show and tell. Today I got an email from you asking me to review the product. Thank you for that. I am also taking this opportunity to ask for your help. Here is my problem. My shelf worked fine for the first eight or ten times that I opened it show it to my friends. Then one day about six months after I got it the shelf failed to latch closed. I replaced the batteries. still would not latch. I know this wasn't your fault. Mechanical things just fail on occasion. I removed the latch unit so that I could send it back to you but I have not been able to find a phone number to call customer service and order another one. Please email me or send a phone number so I can order a new latch. I am in my seventies now. I'm retired and live alone. I know that sets me up as a target to certain kinds of low life individuals because 5 years ago I was assaulted by a man in his thirties. I was unarmed then but I still managed to send that scum to the hospital. I could never do that now. I live at the end of a dark street surrounded by neighbors in their seventies. Opportunistic predators frequent this area at night. Right now my tactical shelf is being held shut by scotch tape which would make it kind of slow to get in to. I can't wait to have it working properly again. I hope to hear back from you. Meanwhile, thanks for designing such a unique invisible hiding place for my handgun.
We really like the product. Size is good. Quality is evident. The only beef I had was the color. Based on your website and available colors, I ordered the maple as I have maple cabinets. The color was quite a bit darker than expected. I called and you mailed another with the color again darker than anticipated. I called back and while a little disappointed in the color situation, your service was good and response time excellent. So I opted to keep both as I decided to install one upstairs in my office where the darker color works just fine. I installed the slightly lighter one downstairs where I originally planned to install it. We do like them. So I went out and purchased two new Glocks - a G43 and G19 to place in your product.

We love our shelf now that its hung.? It was challenging to install and the hinges were noisy, but company replaced them and they are quiet now.? Would recommend someone write a decent instructional sheet.? I would definately recommend this product, even with the few mishaps we had during installation, its a quality work of art!

I bought my tactical trap about a year ago and have been more than impressed with it. Not only is the design look like a regular shelf, but the craftsmanship is done really well so it doesn't look cheap and my wife appreciates that. I definitely give a 5 star rating to my Tactical Trap shelves (I bought 2 of them!!) They fin in with any decor and are perfectly sized. I bought the standard trap that holds 2 hand guns and the larger trap that holds one of my rifles and another handgun. The craftsmanship is really good on these shelves and the finish is flawless. The shelves open easily with the magnet and the RFID cards - I have one of each. I highly recommend the shelves for anyone who wants to keep their weapons secure, but easily within reach. Shelf looks great and operates as advertised. Company promised a led light for the shelf and after a sufficient time without receiving it, I questioned the unfulfilled promise. Company rep. indicated that the promised product was sent and provided postal information. I questioned the post office independent employee and she confirmed the postal information but had no idea what happened to the LED light. When I told the company that the postal independent verified their claim and offered to reimburse me for whatever it cost but I refused payment from this lady trying to raise her family. When the company rep heard that, she offered to send me a replacement at no cost that would require my signature for delivery. How's that for great customer relations! You bet I would do business with them again.

I ordered my 3 foot tactical trap last year. It was made to order in the finish I chose so it took about 10 days to ship it to my house. I was immediately impressed by how solid it was built. With my trusty stud-finder I found the perfect place to mount it and had it up in about 15 minutes. I chose the firearm best suited for the case and cut out the styrofoam. It?s a perfect fit, is easily accessible and no one would suspect it holds a weapon. I?m very happy with my tactical trap.

When I received the shelf couldn't wait to get it up. Had to attach it to a board because of studs in wall but no problems with that. I got the cherry one and it looks great, perfect color with other furniture. The trap works great, love it, noone has any idea what it is. I have to rate it at a 5 and definately recommend it to others as I have done several times. Also easy to put pistols in foam provided. Great product.

This is one of the best pieces of home furnishing I could own! My weapons are fully accessible without hiding them in a closet to prevent any accidental accidents to family members, mainly my grand children. I have one for my hand gun in the bedroom and one in my living room down stairs for my tactical shotgun.
I purchased one shelve and then a second one. It does exactly what it is advertised that it does. It is a very attractive addition to the home. It doesn?t hug the wall as tight as I would like and the light is a funny guy, he doesn?t come on until after I?ve removed the pistol . But all in all I like it , it?s a good looking shelf and it?s a temptation to put too much stuff on it, and in it.

I would rate this shelf unit a 5. When I first received it, it wasn't working properly all the time, so I changed the batteries (not realizing it has four) and it worked ok sometimes. Then I decided to change the batteries again and realized that there were four. Works perfectly now every time. Looks great, and the size is perfect for two guns and two mags ( S&W Shield and a Ruger SR22).
The shelf I purchased from Tactical Traps is awesome! It is the perfect size for my situation. I was able to put my .357 and my .22 revolvers in there and they fit perfectly. I have showed it to a few of my friends and they all loved it. As a matter of fact, my mother in law liked it so much that she wants one and she doesn't even own a weapon...lol. The tactical trap I received was nothing less than excellent workmanship. I purchased the unfinished version since I wasn't quite sure where it would be installed. Needless to the that the workmanship, functionality, and attention to detail is evident in this product. The "trap" is constructed solidly and with high quality stock items, i.e., wood, hinges, etc. I highly recommend the tactical trap to anyone interested in storing their firearm(s) in an attractive piece of furniture that allows quick access as well as security. Brief summary of my shelf experience: The shelf was well built and attractive. I ordered mine with a dark stain and it goes very well in my house. The size is great (can fit two pistols with extra mags) and it is a good size for a curio shelf, making it look like it "belongs" with my decor. No one would think there was a gun stored inside. In case of need, the access is quick and handy. My first shelf was damaged in shipment and one phone call was made and another shelf was immediately shipped with no hassle. One thing, make sure the mounting screws are installed as high as possible or the shelf will sag. I initially had mine too low and had to add a couple screws closer to the top at the stud locations. Need to keep a close eye on the batteries and change them as directed in the instructions. If the batteries go dead, it will be difficult to open. There is a designed in low battery audible alarm as a reminder. I would definitely recommend this product as good value for money.

With the world changing, my husband traveling all the time, we decided to buy a tactical trap shelf.?We purchased a beautiful dark walnut self that can easily conceal a handgun, or two, with nobody is the wiser.? We feel safer knowing it is there and that kids are not aware of its location. We wanted to know I or my husband was able to reach a handgun safely and fast without worrying about grandkids. The construction is immaculate.? The price is very reasonable. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for a beautiful way to keep safety close by.
I love my shelf. The natural color wood matches my decor perfectly. It allows me to have one of my guns nearby should (heaven forbid) I?m ever in a situation where I need quick access to it. My boyfriend is a handyman and he hung it for me. He was very impressed by the quality of the shelf and how well it works. The only thing I didn?t like was the type of foam that was sent for use on the inside. It was very difficult to cut out the shape I needed for the gun and extra magazine. I went and got a better foam that was much easier to cut at Home Depot and threw away the foam that was sent with it. Because of the foam, I would give the entire unit a 4.5 out of 5 stars.
The RFID lock was the big selling point of this tactical shelf. Being hidden in plain view, while still offering a sense of security. The foam is easily cut to mold the firearm and other accessories. The motion light is a nice added feature as well. I'm definitely looking into future purchases.
I bought 2 traps for my wife and I for Christmas. We both love our traps and use them often for storage of sensitive information well as security for our firearms.Wht really sold us was the various color choices available. We do not have much wood coloring in the house, so to be able to get a good looking black shelf with a secondar purpose was really a win-win.

I received my tactical shelf and have been very satisfied with the quality and the ingenious design. It works exactly as described. The only problem I had was that the order did not make it in time for Christmas and then when it was delivered, it was delivered to the wrong address. The folks quickly made the correction on the address and sent out another shelf immediately. If you're looking for a great way to conceal your weapons in plain view, then here you go.
I purchased a large (rifle and pistol) and a small (2 pistols and mags) "Tactical Trap" shelf for our home. The shipping time was a little longer than expected, but the product was worth the wait. Both shelves were well made. Fit and finish are excellent. They are shipped in a well padded box so both of my units were in perfect condition when they arrived. Mounting either of the units is a 2 person job and will require finding the center of a wall stud units for a lag bolt. Sucking the unit up to the wall is a must as any deviation will be visible, leaving the self "drooping" forward. When the big shelf arrived one of the closer mechanisms was broken. I called and a replacement was immediately sent. I teach firearms classes in my home and enjoy watching the faces of students as I talk about "hidden in plain sight" and then move to the self to reveal the surprise. Everyone then asks where they can get one. The RFID "key" is also first class. I keep the key in a book on top of the shelf for easy access. I love the internal LED light. Nice touch. Couldn't be happier.
I got mine in finished it?s a great hide away for my guns. Only problem is the foam inside. Wish they could be pre cut. Other then that I love it.

I've found that product descriptions sometime don't add up to reality, but in this case I'm extremely pleased (5 stars!) with the tactical trap shelf unit. It was easy to install, looks like a nice piece of furniture, and is located in a very convenient area. I've shown the unit to a few good friends ( you probably don't want to make the installation public knowledge ), and they all agree that the concept is solid and innovative. No buyers remorse here.
I have both the large and small ones. Both work great, although the large one is a bit more difficult to install as it needs to be adjusted because of size and movement though shipping. Love the units and they look great.
I hung the shelf in my office. Holds My 38 Special and Smith & Wesson MP 40 with clips. Absolutely love it. Works perfectly. The stain is very professional and goes great with the office decor. Multiple people have looked at it, and commented on the shelf and have no idea what it actually is. Highly recommend it to anybody who's interested.

Tactical Trap shelves are awesome! I am able to build my own from wood working equipment I have, but for the price with quality, not worth my time to build them as "Tactical Traps" can. Thanks again I'll be ordering a larger one soon.
This shelf is awesome. It's quite heavy, so you will need to find studs to attach it too, this is very important. You might have it hold when empty (Unlikely) but when you put a rifle in there, it will all come down. But on studs, it's very sturdy. I have the 52R, and have a tactical shotgun, a handgun w\/ 2 mags, and a very bright light in there. I can get it out very rapidly, but haven't needed to. Practice is something I do, and recommend. The foam is easy to customize. Get it right the first time though. It will go back together, but it never is quite the same neat appearance afterward. I will buy it again if I move, because this one stays here. The only suggestion I would make is to put a couple of low power LEDs that turn on when you open it. Low power and red, so as not to make you night blind. You will not be sorry with this purchase.
Wow, I have yet to have a person, friend or acquaintance enter the room where my tactical trap is located, and know that I a fully protected and ready a the drop of a book. The RFID card is very handy as I have it placed on the inside cover of a novel, and am able to utilize it quickly and efficiently. ?Everyone sees my Tactical Trap as a well made, beautiful shelf; only I know that it harbors my SIG. I bought and installed the Tactical Shelf Trap last year and I can honestly rate this security shelf at the Five Star Level with no reservations at all.. My wife knows exactly how to access the weapon and arm herself against the "Bad Guy" as soon as the threat produces itself that calls for immediate protection.. The shelf I purchased has been positive addition to our home. My wife was sold on it once she realized that she could place pictures and other decorative "trinkets" on it. As for my part, it is practical, easy to operate and provides a safe and secure means of providing quick access to a means of defending my family. I chose to locate the shelf in my bedroom due to living in a remote location. If there are any visitors to my home it will not go undetected unless we have retired for the evening. Any intruder at night will have to break down the door, which will not go undetected of course, and would have travel a 30' hallway to enter our bedroom. Plenty of time to retrieve any means of protection from the shelving unit and take a defensive position. I am sold on this product and highly recommend it to any consumer and rate this product with a 5 Star rating
purchased it last fall couldn't wait for it to arrive once it did was impressed by the craftsmanship and it being ready for my paint installed about a month-and-a-half ago easily as I am a carpenter by trade but if you follow the directions it's pretty easy I am ready to buy another one for my long rifle as soon as I can figure out where I can hang it thank you so much keep up the good work.
I give your shelf a 5 star rating as Ithe quality of the shelf and mechanism are outstanding. However I was supposed to get a free LED light kit with it and never recieved it.
I received the shelf in a timely manner and the quality of the workmanship is top notch. Friends knowing that I got a something to store my gun and mounting it in the living room close to the front door still had to ask where the gun was hidden. Not sure if you guys are small business or not, but I will assume you are. As a small business owner myself, we use your tactical shelf in an escape room environment. Your shelf probably sees literally anywhere from 50 to 100 cycles per week. I can tell you today, that it works without any issue and is repeatable time after time. Great durability, the shelf itself has upheld a wide demographic of users ? everyone from rambunctious 13-year-old girls to senior citizens. Great quality, great durability, and overall great product.
We have our trap shelf in our bedroom we use it to place our TV and cable box on it blends in perfectly We have an AR15 with spare mag A1911 with spare mag and a GLOCK 17 with spare mag all fit nicely love it
I bought both the small and larher shelfs. I was amazed of how nice they look and how well they worked. The closer on the larger shelf broke during delivery, I wrote them and they sent replacements right away. A wonderful product, wish they could be made with a choice of locking devices so they could be for safe storage.

I purchased the Patriot 35S gun shelf. I have it installed in the entry to my home where I have easy access. I purchased the unfinished cabinet so I could stain to match other furniture. The cabinet fits in nicely with my decor and is easily accessible to two of my handguns and extra mags. I'm planning on purchasing more cabinets in the future to hide an AR and more hand guns, knives, etc., in order to have protection stored in various parts of the home, including the Master Bedroom and Den. I'm very pleased with my Patriot 35s and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a way to hide protection in plain site.

We had no place in our house suitable to mount a Tactical Shelf, so opted for the Tactical Flag.? It was easily mounted with drywall anchors in the entryway right at the front door.? It fits well with our decor.

I have the short shelf for 2 pistols and one for a rifle. I have the magnet releases on both and really like it. In fact I have shared my picture of the shelves with others and I suspect they have acquired them as well. The quality is solid but I do a a concern on the longer and wider shelf and the lever arm is has against 3 wall studs with 2.5" screws. I have a rifle and six-shooter in it. You should supply a sharp knife\/razor long enough to cut through the foam or at the very least put\/show the type of knife\/razor to use. It took me the pistol shelf to figure it out. I really like these shelves and are promoting them to my friends.
The Shelf worked out well. It is now in my son's home, who is an LEO. We rate it a 4.8 (always a little room for improvement). We would certainly recommend it.

I love my tactical shelf and have shown it to several of my gun owning friends. One or more will be or have ordered one for their use. I did have help installing it but it wasn't all that difficult. I do have an opinion for you! I purchased the shelf as a Christmas present for my son! The shelf was beautiful and he was really happy with it. Until he went to install it in his home. It took him quite a while as there was no hardware with it or instructions on how to handle the installation. It's ok he is a really handy guy! He likes that it is easy to use and at his fingertips! I can recommend you traps because I am moving to another state soon and I will be ordering 2 shelves for my new home. I hope you have enjoyed my review! I will be looking forward to my magnet!

I love my tactical trap! I have been showing off to my trustef co-workers (Policemen) about my new gun locker that offers fast access and ultimate concealment while giving me a tastefully designed mantle. A big plus was the motion activated light that came with my kit. Give it a real cool look when opened.
Tactical Trap shelf! I have to say the Ease of concealment is amazing! I've had dozens of friends over to the house who have commented on the "cool shelf" (I chose the all black finish) noticing the craftsmanship of the shelf and the items I had placed on top, with no idea what it conceals! My wife and I are the only two that know the real truth! And ease of opening it is amazing as well! The motion sensing LED light that came free with my shelf also is a great addition! In the dark it lights up the entire Storage area, When I need to grab the contents. I've only had one scare where I needed to access my gun for a defense reason, and it ended up being just a coyote on the back porch. However if that coyote had kicked the door in, I would've been prepared LOL. The mounting of the shelf was extremely easy and self-explanatory and as long as you find a stud on both sides there is nothing that's going to pull it off unless you're demolishing the wall! Overall I would get this 5 1\/2 stars for a review out of five stars. Great company I love the comedic emails and pictures, the Facebook ads are spot on for how easy it is to access. Thanks guys you really get this out of the park. When I ever acquire a rifle I will hit you up for the larger version.
I purchased a shelf several months ago and I love it. It was very easy to install and works wonderful. My rating for that great shelf is a solid 5++ and I would recommend a tactical shelf to anyone. Down the road I am considering getting a tactical American Flag.
I purchased a tactical trap about 6 months ago. First, let me say I love the product. The quality and workmanship is amazing. It very well may be the nicest shelf in the house. This was a must for me and my family. I was always concerned when I would come home at night and put away my daily carry in the safe in the nightstand. Reason being our master bedroom is upstairs. After changing clothes and getting comfortable my wife and I would settle in on the couch DOWNSTAIRS to watch tv. The tactical trap gave me an accessible firearm downstairs without having an eye sore of a safe. I would definitely recommend. 5 star rating. Some constructive feedback, which i'm sure is nothing new it took much longer than the quoted lead time for my shelf to get delivered. When I installed the foam I made the cut out for one of my firearms too close to the center and the shelf wouldn't close. I contacted customer support to see if they would ship a replacement foam (I would even pay for it) and I never heard back. After emailing twice I decided I could live with it the way it is. At the end of the day I tell everyone about tactical traps. I tell them to skip the cheaply made products they see in the sporting good stores and order a quality piece of furniture that also hides your weapons.
I am very happy with my tactical trap shelf. I am pleased to have a way for my pistol to be readily available at the front door in case of need. I do not carry on my person and this is next best option for me.
I am extremely happy with my Tactical Shelf. I mounted it over the fireplace as a mantel. It it just the right length and looks great. I didn't plan on putting an AR-15 in it anyway, but the shelf is a little shallow for my AR to fit, due to the oversized charging handle. The shelf could be an inch thicker to accommodate such accessories. The RFID lock is awesome and the motion sensor lights work great!
Installed in 10 minutes and looks great and works the same. Waiting on the lite so I can install it in the unit.

I have had back surgery recently so I have not had the time or the power to mount but one of the shelves and I can tell you the night I had the surgery There was a loud banging and the doorbell was going crazy at 3:15 am in the morning. Now I live in the country setting somewhat and there is never any good news at your front door at 3:15 in the morning.. I had to answer the front door but not without having piece of mind as the shelf worked in perfect order and I had my hand on my 9mm Taurus as my other hand was on the front door. It turned out there were two deputies from a neighboring county asking permission to go into my back field as they were chasing a suspect running from them. I can attest without your product and the work you guys do I would have been in a very different situation. I give you guys 5 stars on how well it is built and access into this shelf is absolutely flawless! Recommend one of these in every gun owners home. They won't be disappointed.
I found the principle of the tactical trap to be very good, size and materials quality OK, but the instructions leave something to be desired. My suggestions: 1. Mark or predrill where the support screws are to be placed 2. Indicate where the light should be attached for maximum Efficiency. 3. Consider providing the foam panel in a little thicker configuration. It is really almost to?flimsy for a double stack Firearm. 4. Include a pic of the interior of a set up tactical trap with your instructions
The only thing I'm not impressed with is the inability to open the trap when the battery pack voltage is too low to open the door.? Regardless of how well made and finished the trap is, it is very disconcerting to have to break the lock from the lid to gain entry.? I suggest you place an external connector (like Homak uses on their gun safes) against which a 9v battery can be placed to open the trap.
I am extremely happy with the shelf,? the wife likes it as well. I love the quick easy opening of it. Have been thinking of other's but not ready just yet.?

I bought the flag shelf. I give it a 5 star rating. It is absolutely beautiful. ?Aside from being an excellent concealment device, the artistry of the flag is superb. It would fit into just about ANY American home as a decorator piece. ?Workmanship on the box, mechanism, ID tag joinery are all excellent. This is a solid piece as good as any furniture you are likely to find.

I am well satisfied with the shelf that I received from Tactical Traps. There were some cosmetic issues with the first shelf and Tactical Traps did stand behind their product 100% and took care of that issue totally to my satisfaction. This is a very innovative product which conceals and secures firearms yet makes them readily available. As a prosecutor, I would like to see more law-abiding citizens in a position to defend themselves, their loved ones and their homes. This is a good choice for all of the above!
The foam insert designed to hold the handgun(s) in place is a bad idea. I sculpted out space four my small 38 special and my 9MM. Getting them to stay in place was impossible. They would fall out when the door opened. I screwed pieces of a belt to the door to use holsters. Works better but must be careful not to interfere with lock or hinge arms. Probably operator error but I had to order another lock mechanism because the first wouldn't lock? Customer Service took care of me.
I purchased a 36 inch tactical shelf from you and could not be more pleased with it.? It definitely rates 5 stars.? The quality and workmanship are excellent and it was easy to hang.? It looks great hanging over my desk next to my chair in the family room.? No one knows it conceals a Sig226 with a tactical light and laser grips with a spare 20 round mag plus a 3 inch model 36 S&W with 2 speed loaders and a tactical flashlight for the wife.? My grown kids and the close friends I have shown it to love the RFID lock and interior light as well as the overall quality and looks of the product.? Keep up the great work.? The shelf works great, it was easy to install in about 10 minutes and very nice looking. When I show it off to my close friends they are amazed that it is anything other than a shelf and more amazed at how much it holds. I feel that my weapons are safe when I don't need them and that I am safe when I do.

I purchased both a rifle and pistol length Tactical Trap. The order process was easy and the shipping was timely. Unfortunately the transportation company was not gentle and so I had some damage on one of the shelves. Your customer service was friendly, professional and quickly helped replace the damaged shelf. Both shelves work as advertised and go very nice with our existing furniture. Big kudos for designing and building them not only for form and function but also to look GREAT. On my end, I wish the rifle size was a bit longer to accommodate a larger long gun but it works just fine for a carbine. I will and have recommended your product and team to others.
I really like the shelf, but did not realize that it did not come with foam inside the shelf. I am temporarily using cloth until I can get the foam and alter it for my handgun. It would be a 5 star rating if it came with the foam already inside the shelf.

Purchased the smaller shelf and it is perfect for 2 handguns and enough mags to keep you safe. I have the RFID lock on mine and it works flawlessly. Although I'm sure the magnetic lock would work fine too. Easy to install and easy to use. I highly recommend this product!

U gave had my tactical trap for close to a year and have enhoyed it without any malfunctions and no one being aware of it's real purpose. The only small drew back is it's delivery time;

I would like to tell you that the tactical trap I bought is awesome. Its well made, easy to install and functions properly with one exception...the gas shock doesn't extent far enough so I took it off and put a chain on it the length I wanted. Other than that im extremely happy with it.
I would rate it a 4.5 only because the alignment of the pin & lock had to shimmed as they did not line up so it does not close perfectly and not having used one before not sure if it open properly bu having said that everything else is great. Quick access without exposure. We had a home invasion Feb. 2016, the first items they found were our two pistols in the nightstand. The villans were caught and one received life without parole...The other was shot to death the following day after firing at a X-Marine Deputy whie being apprehended.? If this ever happens again in my home I will be much better prepared with my concealed weapons.?

The tactical shelf that I bought Tactical Traps is really well made and works like a dream. The shelf is well made, even when you drop it (twice) while installing it. It's rugged and it looks really nice right next to my front door. No one has guessed what it is yet.

The best thing about? using the shelf is, I always know where my? firearm is located and it can always be loaded because I don't have to worry about a child discovering it and causing a problem.? I chose the unfinished tactical shelf due to not knowing exactly what color I would want. After receiving the shelf I finished it and made some foam changes to accomodate my specific 9MM guns and a knife. The quality of the shelf is great and it does exactly what I needed it to do and that is to house my weapons and open and close easily and look incognito.? The only thing I would change about it is the foam insert. I did not care to cutout the outline of the weapons. They have a foam that is precut into many little blocks and all you do is take out the blocks that measure to your weapons. Easier and more professional. This is what I did after not liking the foam insert supplied.?

The Tactical Trap shelf I received rather quick. It came well packaged and did not have any scratches or damage to the dark walnut stain. I was very impressed with the fit and finish of the pieces. You absolutely cannot see any gaps that might tip off a trained eye. The back of the shelf mounted rock solid to my wall studs. The release mechanism and cards work flawlessly and quickly. I glued a card to the bottom of a decorative candle holder that only needs to be slid over the center to release and one in my wallet that is sensed without issue from wallet thickness. I would recommend this to anyone looking in this market. The quality coupled with great pricing isn't beatable.

The cabinet looks great on my wall. The RFID works well and I can get quick access to my firearms. It stores my big .45 and my compact .40 with mags very well. Installation instructions on the website are easy to follow. To me, it is a common sense tool that I hope to never need but I sleep better knowing it's there.?

The shelf is a nice piece of furniture, it looks good on my wall and no one would ever suspect that my weapon was enclosed and very easy to get at. I had some trouble finding a place for the?big magnet but finally settled on attaching i to the top of a table lamp, it looks like it belongs there.

I have purchased 2 tactical shelves and the tactical flag wall mount. Love them all. The flag I actually inserted into the wall instead of just hanging it. It looks like an ordinary plaque decorating the wall. 5 stars for sure. The regular shelf is great for a variety of guns and personal items. 5 stars all the way. The largest shelf I wish was a bit wider by 1 to 2 inches. The length the same. My AR 10 barley fits. Had to really position it perfectly. Still 5 stars all the way. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. Ive already recommend all your products to many friends and relatives. And will keep? recommending this company.?

I would give your company 5 stars. While installing my flag shelf I inadvertently left the battery cover loose and the battery came loose when I closed the lid. My guns were locked inside with no way to open the shelf. Your company mailed me a device to force the door open PLUS you sent me a brand new shelf. The shelf works as advertised and looks great on my wall.
I bought my trap about four months ago; and, have installed in my bedroom. It's a great looking shelf and gives us great confidence in knowing the gun is readily available. It works seamlessly and the LED light is a great plus. Couldn't be happier.

Well the battery died soon after I got the shelf and while changing them the shelf closed. I then had to remove the back brace. Batteries changed, shelf hung, enjoying the ability of a ready to get gun in seconds. I have not hung the larger shelf yet but plan too soon. I am impressed with the quality of workmanship and finish. I highly suggest anyone wanting to hide a gun in plain sight to get one or both shelves.?

It looks awesome and it has a high end furniture finish. It goes well with the furniture in the room. It works flawlessly and holds my 40 cal Ruger and magazines well. I have this in my bedroom as a shelf to hold all the Videography Production work that I've done over the years. It hold my 2 of my?"go-to" sidearms perfectly (Kimber ?Stainless Target 1911, Sig Sauer P229 ), and the access is super simple. I have the?"key" hidden inside of one the Production DVD\/Blu-Rays that I did for a client. I just slap that on it's side, and voila! the shelf pops open and access is right there. Much better than having to go the safe in the closet.

The product itself is very nice looking and well built.? It looks like it is only a shelf and most buglers\/children would not know that it has a duel purpose of holding firearms.? The locking mechanism with the key card is very slick and I have thought up a ton of sneaky ways to hide the key card.? The shelf needs to be just a little longer so that no matter where a person wants to put it they can span 2 wall studs.? I assume you have the beep\/alarm so that I know if an unauthorized person accesses my gun...but that is double edged.? When I sneak out of bed because I heard a bad guy in my house he may here the alarm\/beep as well (and it continues to beep when I leave it open).? Same goes with the motion light but at least I can choose to not use that.? Great unit, well built, nice looking, works just as advertised.

I am happy with the shelf however had a little difficulty with the mounting of it, I would have found it helpful to have had a small pre-drilled pilot holenear the top center of the rear panel (I had to mount it by myself so nobody in my household would know what it truly is).

We have been "discussing" my idea where to put the mantle I bought him for Christmas. Then we discuss his idea of where it should go. It is still in the box.......? ? ? ?He really loves that smaller flat box for the Thin Blue Line and told me where he would put that........we are still debating.
The shelf is of quality material and the workmanship is awesome. I had a slight problem mounting so I drilled three holes in the back and it mounted just fine. I'm a very happy camper.
I've been super happy with my tactical traps. I've got several in different sizes and made use of them all. The only thing I don't love is that I feel like the foam could be thicker and more sturdy. I'm looking into options to replace that foam with something better locally.
I purchased my Tactical Trap some time ago. ?Don?t know what I would do without it. I have put an M-1 Carbine in it, my 1911A1 and a switch blade in it. ?Ammo for the Carbine in magazines in it and ammo in magazines for my .45 1911A1 in it also. This is the slickest thing I have purchased. It?s over my fireplace and looks like it belongs there.

I actually bought a large and a small one but for decorating purposes I hung the smaller one? by my kitchen door.? I decided that I wanted to put my new Mossberg "Shockwave" in it so I took the liberty of making a small modification at the right side so that the "birdshead" stock would just fit. By using the new 12 gauge mini-shells I can put 8 rounds in the tube (I NEVER chamber a round until I am getting ready to shoot).? Unfortunately, my wife of 44 years only appreciates the Tactical Trap as a very well made shelf with a nice finish and she likes putting pictures and things on it,? however my VERY TRUSTED friends that have seen what it actually is have all been very jealous and I have to admit that I kind of enjoy seeing them this way.

I bought 2 shelves a while back but never installed them because I knew I'd be moving soon. Well, things got delayed and I finally moved to a new home about 3 months ago. I've since installed both shelves (only took 15-20 minutes each) and must say I'm very pleased with this product. The shelves are very well constructed and do NOT announce their true purpose to onlookers. They just look and feel like high quality bookshelves. Mine both have the Cherry finish and look great with our other furnishings. The foam inserts are easily customized to hold whatever configuration of concealed Items you want to keep handy (another 15-20 minutes each). I personally like the idea of having more emergency "stuff" easily accessible so the size is just perfect for me. Overall based on my short time using these shelves, I have had no problems or concerns. I have had multiple firearm savvy people over to my house who have all been pleasantly surprised when they learned that what they initially thought were just nice wall decorations, actually had another purpose . You really pulled off something that is both attractive and functional!

I bought the tactical shelf as a gift for my son a Gunny in the Marines. He absolutely loves it. The shelf allows him to ?ow have two handguns in basically plain site when he is at his front door. He and I give it 5 stars.
One of the best concealment products to date. I put this up in my bed room and my wife said she liked my new shelf, she had no idea it was a tactical trap. I saw an ad on Facebook for this shelf and it was exactly what I was looking for. I wanted something so I could "conceal" something in plain sight. ?The shelf arrived well boxed and the instructions made it relatively easy to install. ?The fit & finish was on par with the other furniture and fixtures in the room and I would say it is completely inconspicuous! ?
I purchased one shelf for my own use in the walnut finish.. I have it mounted and the look and functionality are great. I purchased a second shelf in unfinished version and gave the shelf to my niece for a birthday present. ?(Her husband likes the shelf for another reason.) I am very pleased with my unit. It is a keeper.
I bought a pistol shelf a few months ago for the holidays and finally got around to installing it. It works as instructed and looks like part of my bedroom furniture. ?Customer service was great since I placed the wrong color order and they immediately changed it for me before the order was fulfilled. ?The foam cutting was not perfect and I had to order a replacement in order to have a clean look. ?Take your time with cutting your design. ?Overall I have not found any issues and wish I would have ordered a bigger one for an AR pistol option.
I do like the shelf. I would rate it a 4 out of 5 stars. The reason it did not get 5 auto 5 is because it's difficult to mount it's hard to figure out how to lineup the holes I'm not sure what a good work around for that would be but there has to be an easier way to make sure that the screws are in the right place, I am happy to talk to you about this if you would like.

When I saw the shelf online, I immediately said I have get this! I mean look at it! Looks how awesome that is to have something so concealed to hold your firearm or even if you don't have a firearm, it's a hell of a safe! On top of this I knew my brother was moving into a new apartment so I purchased 2 of these right off the back for each of us. I have 2 of my firearms in my shelf and looks and feels great in the home! Any issues or concerns and customer service is on it and taking care of it within 24-48 hours at most
I installed the Tactical Shelf in the entrance way to my house.? It looks great as you enter the front door.? No one has ever questioned me to its real purpose.? (To have a firearm near the front door in a secure spot)? Any time someone knocks on the front door I have a firearm within reach if necessary.? This piece of furniture sure looks nice and adds to the security of my family.

The shelf is nice quality. Took longer then had anticipated. There were a lot of hiccups with shipping. The shelf didn't come with the damper arm (?) So it was opening too fast and hitting the wall. Then the mailing for the foam and the light kit we're also delayed. Small hiccups in the grand scheme, but this was a Christmas gift that was ordered right after Thanksgiving. Overall, yes I would recommend this product. The size works well...good construction.?
I have owned my Tactical Shelf Trap for several months, it has made my life extremely easy. I am a retired L.E.O. who is in and out of my home multiple times a day. I love my tactical trap shelf. I have it in our bedroom and have used it numerous times to achieve the greatest ease of accessing my weapons. I have a Glock and a 38 special in it. The 38 is for my wife . We both are very familiar with opening and retrieving our weapons fairly quick. Not only is it an added touch to the decor, it works for us as well.?
Just a note to let you guys know that I love my Tactical Shelf. I keep my Sig P226 and 2 extra mags in it and you'd never know. It fits in with the house decor perfectly. We put a mirror above it and it looks like a complete set. I have recommended it to several friends who think its so cool!. Of course its one of those things you want to show off and brag about but then that defeats the purpose as well. Of course I still do, LOL

All of the instructions for installation were easy to follow and all the claims and promises made on the web site were realized. I have two handguns in hidden in my tactical trap which makes it easier and quicker than ever to access my weapons and safely too.
I ordered those shelves for a chiropractor friend of mine as a present. I installed them in his office and treatment rooms. They were easy to install and function perfectly. He now feels safe from nut jobs and disgruntled clients (don't we all have a few of those). We highly recommend them. They fit into the decor great and are of great quality. The installation directions were a bit hard to follow, although I have to admit, I am not a really handy person. I hired a handyman to install the shelf. The quality is too notch and the functionality is fantastic.

Would've been 5 if mounting had been a bit easier. The space where I had to drill to put screws was tight. Otherwise, it works well. I like that you put the dot on the shelf to show where to use the magnet. And I REALLY like that the dot came off easily and left no residue. (Wouldn't that have been awkward?) Our shelf is used for displaying books and post cards about Colorado. Just above it we have a 3D Map of the state. Everyone comments on how cool the collection is, which means there's no undue attention to the shelf itself.

This is a great place to store your weapon. It gives you quick access to your weapon in a time of need. The inside storage area is large enough for two average size hand guns and extra mags. My thought is a burglar did enter my home when I was not there and not carrying, that they would most likely skip over the shelf as it fits into the d?cor and is not an obvious place to store a weapon.?
My shelf is working great.? Easy to mount and works beautifully.? I was able to trace out my 2 pistols on the foam provided and they fit in there very nicely.? Review of the 35" shelf. This Is my first piece of tactical furniture and I have to say, I am impressed. I received the shelf around Christmas. I installed it with 2 screws into studs and one large drywall toggle bolt. The shelf isn't going anywhere! ?The fit and finish is very good and the mechanics are smooth. The motion light was a cool addition. I see a 52" in my near future!
I think these shelf are made very well and am please with my purchase from tactical traps. I ordered more after my initial purchase. I would strongly recommend them and they have a great costumer service as well.

The design was beautiful and works well with my home d?cor. All of my friends are jealous! I was so pleased with my shelf unit that I bought another one as a gift to a client that is a Sheriffs Deputy. He has it installed at his home and keeps his weapon safe, loves it! My concealed carry shelf is absolutely beautiful!? No one would know this gorgeous wood shelf holds my safety.? The shelf itself, I give 5 stars. The only downside was the wait time I had for it.? It was well worth the wait, but no one contacted me to tell me what was going on.? I would have liked to have updates on when I could expect my shipment.

I love the shelf. I would suggest that you install some method to shut the alarm off when the trap is open to do any work on it, so you do not have to remove the battery while working on the unit when open. This would save battery power A LOT. Trimming the foam after battery installation is very time consuming.
y shelf is perfect size (5 ??) used as an accent in our kitchen. It functions just as described and was installed easily! Maybe some options on the foam insert would be nice. Very high quality product and I would recommend it to anyone !

I bought both the pistol and rifle shelves.? They're both extremely well made and easy to mount.? The RFID lock works flawlessly and hold my guns securely.? When unlocked, each shelf opens with no problems and very gently.? Both sizes accommodate what I want in them with absolutely no issues.? They both have a great finish.? I wish there was a 'back door - hidden release' so that they could be opened in case the batteries fail.

I bought one of these shelves. As promised the quality is top notch and the fact that it is made by veterans made it even better. Delivery was better then expected shipped in a package that protected it from external damage everything went smooth and was delivered early. The video that you get with it was very good advice. Out of five stars I would rate this product five all day long. installation was simple and fast. Very impressed overall and will return for my next one for my AR 15.
I have had my shelf for over 6 months and it is great.? No one knows what it is and when I show family members they are amazed that something that looks that good has a dual purpose of protection.? I installed it right at my front door.? It has family pictures and a mirror right on top.? Looks (and is) an nice piece of decoration on the wall but with the added feature of keeping a weapon safe right at the front door in case something ever happens.? It was easy to install. The shelf was extremely easy to hang, it's very sturdy, and very inconspicuous. I have 3 other regular shelves in my LR and this blends right in. The woodwork is top knotch. The mechanism works great, opens every time. I couldn't be happier.

It is a clever idea to conceal your gun at home and I wish I would of thought about it.
This product works great. Just as advertised. I stained it and installed it in the TV room. Kids haven't a clue. Wife eyes it suspiciously but can't get it open without card. Only reason for a 4.5 is it take batteries. But don't see an easy way around this.
I had never seen anything like this until I saw the ad from Tactical Traps. It looked so ingenious I had to get one. ?Where to keep a firearm for quick access has always been an issue, particularly with grandchildren. When I got the shelf - problem solved. I mounted it by my family room door and now I have quick access to my firearm in the event of an intruder trying to get in. ?When a strange face appears at your door you can no longer trust that their intentions are good. ?There is plenty of room for 2 firearms, a flashlight, and extra mags. ?Great purchase.
The quality of the shelf is amazing, and It works great!? Was easy to install and cut the foam to support my guns.? I purchased one large shelf that I put a shotgun and an AR-15 and two small shelves for my pistols.? I have recommended to many of my friends and will continue to do so.? I rate the (3) shelves I purchased a full 5 stars... The largest shelves hold my AR-10 as well as my Glock 19X and a mag or two.. The smaller shelf holds two pistols and two mags... Or will as soon as I get a couple more magnets... I bought the Natural Burnt Wood Flag as well.. Absolutely love them all... The way they open is perfect... I had been wanting one for a very long time so I bought three.. I would definitely recommend all three of them for any application on any wall... I bought this shelf for my (hard to buy for husband) for Christmas and he LOVED IT! Never, ever before have I purchased a gift that he loved this much. He was on the phone to his buddies all Christmas Day telling them about it! My Tactical shelf is perfect. It has a lovely finish, and is extremely discrete. It was so respectable in appearance, that it is the one and only shelf suitable to hold the beautiful urn that holds my mother's ashes. She passed away after my order, but I never expected such a perfect pairing of shelf with memorial urn. I am a very pleased customer. By the way, nobody thinks the shelf is anything but a beautiful resting place. Mom is still supporting the Second Amendment from on high.
The quality of my shelf is outstanding. One issue was the mounting screws were grossly inadaquate to mount securley to my wall, due to the weight. I ended up using 3 inch 5\/16 lag bolts and that worked fine. Experience: several weeks ago is was sitting in our family room watching a TV show with my wife and daughter when all of a sudden we heard a crashing sound in our garage. My weapon for work (28 yrs in Law Enforcement) was upstairs on my nightstand, my other weapons were in a safe in the office and not accessible quickly, so I went to my Tactical Trap shelf and was able to be armed and ready in about 4.5 seconds. I then safely entered my garage and cleared it. The noise was some boxes that had fallen off a shelf. No intruder! However, if there had been, I would have been ready to defend myself and my family.
I really like my Tactical shelf. It is well made, beautifully finished, and completely functional. The only thing that would make it better would be if a buyer could order precut foam to hold the weapons. I realize there are so many different options that precut is probably impractical. However, the ragged cuts I made detract from the fine finish work of this great product.

I really like your shelves. I have bought 2 for my husband and 2 others for 2 son in laws. Size wise i like the ones i bought son in laws better. Hard to find correct wall space for the longer one. First and foremost, this is a great product.? Not only is it well-made, it's USA MADE! The shelf looks great on my wall and matches my furnishing perfectly. NOBODY knows that it's any different than any other shelf in the room. I purchased a second one for my son for Christmas, but I got a color he didn't care for. These fine folk sent him a new with no issues - well, until it was damaged in shipping. Guess who fixed that problem right away? I bought a tactical trap for a Christmas present for my 25 year old son. He loved it. He just bought his first home so I bought it unfinished so his wife could paint or stain it to match their new decor. The light was not included but tactical traps quickly remedied that! I have both the small and large shelves. They are heavy-duty - very well constructed. They work quite well, just as advertised. The instructions for the shelves did not indicate a way to adjust the resistance of the shocks. As I have done a bit of handy-work over the years it wasn't a problem, but other users may have problems. (The setting seemed a bit high resulting in it opening quite slowly.) I suggest adding that to the instructions.
I'll give this product five stars. Quality is excellent, workmanship excellent and initial design excellent. Customer service follow up is also very good as well.
I love my tactical shelf and have shown it to several of my gun owning friends. One or more will be or have ordered one for their use. I did have help installing it but it wasn't all that difficult. It is so easy to use and I'm able to store 3 of my "go to weapons" and ammo in the shelf with ease. I actually like showing it off to any one who wants to see it. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in home safety. If I had another place to put one in the house - without my wife nixing the idea - I would for sure. Received my Tactical Trap several months ago. Installation was very straightforward. This is a discreet and effective way of concealing my handgun, securely but accessibly near my entry door. The mechanism works easily. I never did receive the light upgrade that was promised with the shelf. I liked this unit so well that I just ordered a second unit. As a retired career police officer I appreciate the ease of access yet discreet ability to hide a firearm in plain sight.

I would give these little magnets 5 stars. They are very strong, thus hang on to all my pistols. Easy to mount and hide. My only problem is I've run out of pistols before I've run out of place to hide them.
Nobody would ever even guess that the shelf was a hidden gun rack. The color I selected matched the crown and floor molding in our bedroom as well as our furniture. I sent a pic of the shelf after installing it to my brother and sister-in-law. They both commented on how nice the new shelf looked. Like the shelf!! The hard part was the hanging part and it seem like the hinges were weak had to beef up the screws. Maybe some temples on cutting the foam or quick helpfull hints. But I love it I have one in my boat and house.

We saw the picture of the shelving unit from Tactical Traps,and thought that looks nice but did not really understand the beauty and the craftsmanship that we were about to receive. The choice of finish matched out framed artwork like they were purchased together. The unit operates with the key card easily and quickly. We have placed out two 9 mm guns with magazines in the unit and know that they are safe and secure till needed. No need to worry about anyone finding them. I gave Tactical Traps a 5 because the product is quality built and is a great way to conceal a weapon in your home. Turn around Time was fast and customer service was easy to work with when I called with questions. I ordered the smaller shelf designed for a pair of pistols but ended up Using it with my Mossberg 12 gauge Shockwave at 26 1\/2 inches long and it fits like a glove. My Tactical Trap, a wall mount shelf, works like a champ, quickly and reliably, and it looks great, with a few decorative items, mounted in our front entrance foyer. It's a 5-star, thumbs-up product.
This shelf rocks. I installed it in my den\/office where it absolutely looks like it belongs. I keep some military knick-knacks on it along with the RFID card in the bottom of a small item on the shelf. I cut the foam inside to hold a G26 and G19, two mags, several keys to fire proof document boxes and a couple really small things. The only problem that I had with it was changing the batteries, as the shelf drops down, and you need to kinda stand on your head to change them. Other than that, it simply rocks. Thanks for such a great product.
I like the shelf, it looks good mounted on the wall. and no one would ever guess what it contains. with the increasing number of home invasions against older people it is reassuring to know that I have a quick way to grab my 357 Magnum
I have got to say that my gun shelf is probably the nicest wall shelf on the market. My daughter not being a gun advocate didn't even know it was 2 ft. away from her.It looks that good. I have got to give it a high rating of 5 stars-Beautiful!! I'm glad I own it.I EXPOSED IT TO MY FRIENDS AND THEY WANT IT ALSO. Keep up the great product line.
Very well made works the way they tell you .company is on top of things and great to talk to and help you out great. Color is close rihht stain just took to wood different way. I wpuld advise to get one or do businesses with them. Regards oaul sellars
The Tactical Trap I ordered was the perfect size and color for the room I wanted it in. It stays secure and opens as designed when it counts! I definitely recommend this product! I chose 4\/5 stars as I have a slight problem closing it. With opening the most important function, it doesn't bother me too much and it may have been an install error on my end (tweaked just a bit possibly)
I will recommend it to my friends and family members, or anyone else that may ask about it. Overall, the quality is top notch and the appearance is nice. It looks like it is a normal shelf, but functions as a well disguised hiding place. My only comment is that it took me a while to figure out the funny beeping I kept hearing was the ?low battery alert?, and once I figured it out I had a difficult time opening the battery compartment. It was difficult to access and the cover was very stubborn to remove. I don?t remember if the instructions referenced the ?low battery alert? or not but it didn?t matter because I couldn?t find them anyway. I recommend you include in the instructions a note to open and close the battery compartment several times to loosen it up prior to hanging the unit on the wall. That should make changing the batteries easier once installed. I installed the new batteries and all is well. GOOD JOB !

I would rate both my tactical traps with a five star rating. I have had them for several years now and they are used on a daily basis to store my daily carry firearms. I have installed my shorter shelf on a wall in a bedroom and hung a mirror over it, this looks just like a nick nack shelf (works great for candles (women love the looks) nice to know my protection is handy nearby. The longer one was bought for a home defense shotgun with plans to mount under big screen tv once I make that purchase. This will also double as a shelf for my speakers. Great product and happy to support made in the USA ???? products and companies. Keep up the great work.
I found the shelf very good quality I would rate it a 5 the only problem aside from missing the projected shipping and receiving date I did not get the TWO free lights offer. Aside from all was very good .
Received the 1st shelf w\/o RFID, received the second shelf w\/batteries loose inside, received the wedge to open the locked shelf and tried to open the shelf twice. It's still sitting in a spare bedroom locked w\/o power because I'm afraid of breaking it. It's a nice looking shelf but my experience to use it has been a rough go.

I bought two shelf safes. The quality is first rate, solid construction, great finish and easy to install.
I love my tactical shelves. They do a nice job of hiding pistols and a tactical shot gun or an AR15. The finish is nice, and they look good in the home I wish the smaller one was a little bigger to hold another pistol and a few more extra magazines, but I would recommend these to anyone. You can't go wrong these tactical traps.

First let me say that I love my cabinet. So far I have had it up only a few days and I have my buds telling me how they like it. When I showed them what it was and how it worked well, you should if not already had some recent south ga orders. When I showed them your website my guys we ready to sign up. I do have a small issue however, the direction in the video says there were suppose to be magnets ( more than one) to help hold guns in the foam cut out, but I received only one magnet, if that is intended, then how do I get more. I have a glock 23 gen 3, and a S&W SD40 shadowed... with a tac light and two mag cutouts one for each. Pretty much what I saw pictured and a no brained for me. I love how it opens and that light really looks great when door is open up. The flag looks great being Military retired I am quite proud of my box.

I ordered it in finished so that I could match the finish of my distressed painted furniture.. I received it in a reasonable amount of time. When I opened the box o was pleasantly superseded at the quality and locking mechanism.. it looks like a shelf until u open it and there is my gun and two magazines.. still room for another gun but this is just for quick access.. looks great was easy to install.. only my wife knows what it really is.. and my secret is safe with her...?
I would definitely recommend this shelf to others. It is an amazing way to provide emergency access to my firearms in plain sight yet still undercover. I have two shelves - one small which holds 2 pistols and a larger one for my shotgun. The shelves look great and are very sturdy even when full of weapons and ammo. I will probably buy more in the future.

The shelf is very sturdy and well made. The color (black) fits well with my room decor, and looks anonymous (which is exactly the point). The RFID locking\/unlocking mechanism is smooth, and works well! I'd definitely buy again (in fact, I have three shelves) and would recommend, as well!

I am very impressed with my "Tactical Trap". It was easy to install and works great. The instructional info. and videos videos were great great except for the "Motion detecting light" (That was not included in the add.) when I purchased the shelf and is not dealt with in the on-line info. on your website. Also:the instructions on changing the batteries could use at least a photo, but preferably a video. Don't get me wrong: I am only trying to give you helpful feedback! I love your product and have recommended to my friends.

I received the shelf and was very pleasantly surprised by the actual quality of the shelf. We had just remodeled our living room so I ordered the specific color to match and it nailed it. I brought several buddies that I truly trust over to check it out and it works great. They thought it was amazing. I shot a video of me opening it to my folks and they loved it. I would give the shelf a 5 star rating on fit up as well as durability and quality and recommend them as a great source for this type of product. I purchased TWO tactical shelf traps ( the regular size and a 48"). My 48" shelf is having issues lining up to close. I left messages but no return calls.
Love the quality and appearance of the shelf, Workmanship color of material and ease of use. Installed in minutes on my wall for easy access to my favorite home defense item. Friends have seen it and not even realized it conceals anything. I like would recommend this item to everyone.

I am very happy with the quality and workmanship of my shelf. It is both sturdy and elegant enough to hang in a place pf prominence in my home. I actually docked them a star and a half a half star is that when I ordered the shelf I was excited for its arrival. Well it showed up in a very reasonable time frame but both the foam insert and LED light were not in the box. I had a note in the box stating that they would be following on in a separate box due to supplier issues. I figured ok so I waited patiently, for 8 weeks that is when I decided to call. The speed and politeness that my call was handled with won them back a full star. Not one single issue with getting the foam and light out to me after validating my purchase. Thank you for a quality product at a reasonable price.
Just a brief summary of your shelf, experience, would you recommend us, etc. YES I WOULD RECOMMEND GETTING A COUPLE OF THESE HIDDEN TACTICAL TRAP SHELVES. I HAVE TWO, ONE THAT'S UNDER MY BIG SCREEN TV AND ANOTHER ONE THAT'S MOUNTED UNDER A PORTRAIT IN TWO DIFFERENT LOCATIONS. THESE ARE MADE WITH HIGH QUALITY MATERIALS AND THEY LOOK AWESOME.
