I truly appreciate the workmanship that you put into all of the shelves and flag that I purchased. I got the shelves unfinished and stained them myself, but the flag trap I received already painted is awesome.I am so happy with your products I am interested in purchasing more to sell in my store. My initial thoughts would be to purchase at least 2 of each shelf, and 2 of the red white & blue flags, and 2 of the darker flags.

I have a Tactical Traps shelf installed in my den ? too high for young hands to reach but easy for me to access the contents.? As with most of us who value the ability to protect ourselves and quick access to our firearms, I haven't needed to use what's inside but having it 'at hand' gives me the knowledge that it's there when and if I need it.? The shelf was easy to install and is easy to access (which I do practice) ? I highly recommend the Tactical Trap units for easy access security.? I'd rate the quality and accessibility as a Five Star ? couldn't be better.

I have been searching for some place to have a few of my guns readily available in case of an emergency and I happened to come across your product and was originally kind of iffy on wether the look and quality would be up to standard. Wow, I was pleasantly surprised with the long and shorter versions I bought! The wood is very nice and the quality of it is AAA. The craftsmanship is top notch, perfectly fitted and the concept works very well, opening easily and with the lights that were included, there's no problem seeing in an emergency if your power would happen to be out. The batteries for the lights and unit itself are easy to access and change out, plus the alert system when the batteries are running low is an added peace of mind. The unit opens very smooth and is rock solid. Plus if you have a few guns, etc stashed around your home, this is definitely a nice place to keep them instead of hiding them all over, and mounting them was pretty easy. I'm very happy with my purchase and can say if you're looking for somewhere to keep some items hidden but easily accessible these are for you. Classic looking piece of furniture but very functional! Well done!

I am truly amazed at the quality and craftsmanship put into my tactical trap shelf. I ordered the unfinished wood so I could stain my shelf to match the other cabinets in my man cave. The shelf arrived 100% ready for stain. No additional sanding or filling in trim nail holes. I stained and put on 3 coats of poly and mounted my shelf to the wall. Not only does it match everything it functions as promised! I will recommend tactical traps to anyone looking for excellent quality and top performance concealment.?

My 2 pistol shelves work great and look awesome.? No one would ever know theres a gun hid inside. My only issue is the Freedom Rifle shelf, it ???looks great but will not open with the key card.? I have contacted the company to get further instruction.? But all in all, I love it.

Love our Tactical shelves! They actually look nicer than I thought and add a beautiful floating shelf look to foyer and bedroom! No one would ever know! Also love the light that turns on when opened...great touch!?

The install was fairly simple, it functions great, I only regret that I don't know more people I trust enough to show it off.

Love the shelve and the quality of how it was made. I did however have quite a bit of trouble getting it to close because the pin was not lining up. You replied back and told me what to do and it fixed the problem. I would highly recommend this to anyone that has guns to store in and able to have access to when you need it.?

I have been to a lot of guns shows and seen a lot of secret shelves ,compartment etc.... and the overall fit and finish and craftsmanship of tactical traps is second to none , I like that it is also very easy to install. I am a custom home builder and we make a lot of our own wood beams,mantels so I don't buy a lot of other people's wood products because they are usually Crap but not tactical traps worth every penny!!!!

This thing is awesome it works great it's functional as a shelf and it's in plain site and I have shown it to three different people and I'm pretty sure they have bought one and or are soon to buy one. But I love mine as it looks great and serves a purpose it also serves a bigger purpose as what it hides.?

Craftsmanship and hardware are excellent, apperance is beautiful, instructions were simple and easy to follow; I gave it a 4\/5 because I did not like that the shelfs gas piston which allows the shelf to open. It was too small for me. I actually removed it and just replaced it with a cable to allow the shelf to open another 15 degrees which also allowed me to remove my rifle without bumping the barrel or stock against the inside of the shelf.

I have bought 4 tactical traps the last would be the American flag trap I purchased. My flag trap was two inches to small for my gun but it's okay.? I currently have a trap in both of my living rooms, kitchen, loft, and bedroom.

I love my shelf, it is the perfect size it fits well with my Decour. People walk past it and never know it is armed and dangerous. The three people who know what it is(wife and kids) refer to it as some James Bond stuff. It was very easy to mount and a nice piece to just look out, well-made and nicely finished.

I love the shelf and the privacy and security it offers, it's beautiful and functional There are two things that I think would make it better than the exceptional shelf it is, to make it extraordinary is one included proper screws, maybe one set for wood and one for sheetrock and probably more importantly an extra set of screws (larger than the ones included but will still work if you get locked out of the system and have to break the previous screw system which I did with the wonderful instructions when I called for help since I did not put my second shelf up for a few months.

I recently purchased the Flag wall mount & am very pleased with the ease of installation as well as it appearing as a piece of wall art in the house.? I would not have a problem recommending it to my friends or family.? There is room for pistols and magazines to be stored.

The shelf is beautiful and well crafted. The mechanism worked flawlessly. I'm blessed in that I haven't had to use it to access my firearm, but I am confident it will work just as flawlessly if I do need it. And to top it off, my wife loves the look of the shelf in our bedroom.

I very much like the shelf. It looks good and works well. I was a little disappointed in the foam that came with it however, I wish it had been thicker to better hold my handgun and Mags. Overall I was satisfied and would recommend this product as it does very well what it was designed to do.

I love my TacTrap, I would have given it a 5 but I think the RFID should be smaller and and to be hidden in the bottom of a candle or something. ?The card is not easy to hide

I have really enjoyed my shelf.? The quality is top notch.? The size is perfect for the items I want stored in there.? It fits the decor nicely and nobody suspects it is anything but a shelf.? That is all I could ask for, to feel that I am helping my home and family be more secure while remaining stealthy about it.

I absolutely love it. ?My only complaint was the closing of the shelf sometimes is difficult because the material was a tiny bit off. ?Otherwise the card and everything else works amazingly.

The shelf is the right size. Unfortuately the front flag cover does not fit flush with box part of the shelf. From the side you can tell that there is a box there. I looked up the instructions on how to adjust it, but the hinges I got on this trap are not ajdjustable.

Being a grandparent with any of our grandkids visiting at any time, the security of knowing our guns are out of sight and locked away is invaluable. The shelf is perfect. It looks like a high end floating shelf on it's own, but when I activate it, is an important party of my home security. Looks great, works great. I am now installing another in my home. Great product.

The shelf is beautiful: Perfect size for me. nice wood & well made. The reason for one star deducted is that the latch has been a problem. Sometimes it opens okay and other times it unlatches, but sticks unlocked but not open. I have to manually pull it down. I have called for help twice and tried the adjustment on the pin by turning slightly and then it may get worse. So, the best final adjustment that works for the moment may not work the next time. Not serious, but annoying and in an emergency . . . you know.

It does everything claimed in the advertising, easy to put up and adjust to work perfect. It looks good in my office, and I have one ordered for home. I would highly recommend, even without the free magnet!! LOL.

It looks and works great! Easier than I thought to mount. Cutting the foam is hard when you have 10 thumbs, but probably easy if you're normal. It looks great and works like it's supposed to.

I'm happy with my shelf. Only two things that troubled me. One I never received my light that comes with on either of my shelves. Second what do I do about my AR15 shelf. It operates fine but one side doesn't close quite as much as the second. Should I adjust the latch slightly? Other than that, your product is awesome. Love it.?

Love the shelf I did a little carpentry and installed keyhole screw mounts so I could get a super flush mount leveling was a challenge but I got it done the keyhole mounts make it more easy to remove if I want to paint the wall the black lacquer fits perfectly with my Asian decor

The shelf is a great size for my handgun and clips.? I feel better having access to my gun where it is now compared to waking up and fumbling for a key to a gun safe.? It was easy to hang.? I bought the unfinished model and stained it to match my room.? All in all a great product.? I definitely recommend this product.

I have been shooting for 18 years and have had many safes. This is great next to the bed for quick access and the wife doesn't mind because it look s great. With 2 young kids in the house who dont know what it is I trust it with keeping my kids from getting access.

I bought my Tactical Trap shelf in December 2017 and it arrived within a couple weeks.? I was impressed with the quality of the shelf and contrustion.? I have since mounted and modified the interior to hold my Sig Saur, extra mag, combat knife and small led flashlight.? It held up very well during mounting and the foam was easy to modify.? I definitely recommend this product for anyone wanting to add a concealment shelf to any part of their home.

I bought two shelves, one holds my Remington 870 shotgun, and the other holds my CZ75B and my M&P Shield with extra magazines.? They look great and provide the safety and availability I want.? Great products.

I have 2 shelves the smaller and the rifle one. I installed the smaller one outside the bedroom door close the the front door.? It has a Judge, and a tactical flashlight.? Both fit well.? The workmanship is excellent and the plain finish matches the cypress walsl well.? RATING HARD TO GO 5 BUT A 4.75.? Why the 4.75; I have trouble finding the sweet spot to place the card, then it drops kinda slow.? If I need it in a hurry, well....? When I redo the bedroom in my man cave home, I will install the Mini 30 and Technical light in it, just above the bed as a mantel below an awesome pen and ink drawing of a golden eagle flying off with a rainbow trout.

Tactical Traps?shelf is Ahmazing!? I ordered one but the color wasn't what I wanted, so I ordered another one in the right color and made arrangements to return the first.? Before I got the first one back in the package to return it, my son-in-law stopped by and was in love with it.? I ended up giving that one to him as an early birthday present.? Meanwhile, I was so happy with the one that I got that I ordered one of the flag shelf too!? They are well made, a great size, and well worth money.? I may well buy a few more as gifts for my other children's homes!

The shelf material and build quality is good. Not in love with the mounting system of just screwing the back board into the wall. Maybe there could be some metal plates inside to reinforce. This makes me fearful to put much weight into the shelf. The foam insert is almost useless. I had to purchase some foam from Amazon to make cut outs for my weapons. The shipping containers were quite flimsy and as a result one of my shelves arrived with some broken internal hardware. The price seems fairly premium for these units but I would recommend. I would just also include the issues I encountered in my recommendation.

It was a Christmas present for my husband & because your system didn't give me a timeline on when to expect my shelf, I had to send an email to you and request it.? But I did receive it in time and in fact, I received it one day sooner than what you advised me of when I did ask. ?The quality of work was as I expected and it was what was promised to me as well.? My husband loves it!!? I'm very satisfied with my purchase and would like to see what else you carry for future purchases.? I would still give you a big fat?5?because?even though I had to contact you to find out when it would be shipped, your staff responded to me so quickly and they were true to their timeline that they gave me.??Hands down, still a better vender to work with then most other venders I shopped at this year.

I did have some problems once I installed the unit. When I put the prox. card to it I could hear the mechanism release but it wouldn't open. I contacted the company and they were great to deal with, they sent me an air bladder tool that I used to open the storage section of the shelf. I then texted a picture of the locking mechanism to the company and they immediately sent out a new locking post that had a ring removed near to where the post sits in the lock. I installed the new part and it has worked great since. I have recommended it highly to friends and family.

I have bought 2 of your shelves. I have one in our bedroom and one in the living room. I have placed them in a convenient place so that my wife or I can easily get to them. They also look nice with the rest of our decore. We haven't had to use them as of yet but, at least they are there if we have to.

I have 6 shelves and 1 flag. My friends and family were amazed, I got them all one for Christmas. They love them as much as me. ?

I received the flag box the other day and had to wait for the weekend so I had time to mount it properly. After three or four measurements, it now proudly hangs on my wall - I would give it ?50? stars, but 5 will have to do.

I purchased the shelf as a gift for my son-in-law. He is quite the craftsman and a perfectionist. He is beyond thrilled!? He is very impressed with the mechanics of it. How well made it is and how smoothly it opens. And he is able to keep one of his many handguns so easily accessible but so well hidden. He truly loves it. The shelf itself is beautiful and the hidden gun cabinet makes it awesome!!? We both give it 5 Stars!!

I took off .5 stars because mine didn't come with a light and I had to reach out for one to be shipped. Great quality, awesome company, easy to install. Advice ? include pick and pull foam to make the customization easier. Provide smaller keycard so it's easier to hide the key under smaller objects. Other than that, I love it. I do recommend you all the time. Have sent out a lick to your site at least ten times. Love it.

I bought two tactical traps from your company. The smaller of the two being for handguns and the other for long guns. I really like the way it?s made. They are a very solid, sturdy and nice looking piece of furniture. ?Unfortunately I had some trouble with a lock not operating properly. I believe it had to with the battery life. fortunately your people, much to their credit, were up to the task in helping me fix the problem and move forward. If I were to make a suggestion I would change the way the trap is shipped so as to not risk battery \/ lock failure. Maybe have the buyer remove a plastic tab that would activate the battery of even have the battery installed when ready to use. Other than that I?m very happy with my pieces and would definitely spread the word.?

The finish quality of my shelf was what I was worried about when ordering. When it arrived I was pleasantly surprised with a high quality finish that I can place right next to a bookcase that I built and finished myself and they look like they were made in the same shop. I would and have recommend the shelf to others. I've enjoyed my shelfs and like everything about them, although i do have a slight issue with the large one.It doesn't always open by it's self when unlocking it. When it doesn't I have to push up on it to get it to drop. I have you found that after closing it, it sometimes helps to push up on both ends multiple times, even though it is already closed and locked. My best guess is the locks aren't lined up quite right and it hangs up.

I have had my TacticalTrap now for several months and I love it. The finish is excellent and resembles a fine wood product, and by chance matches my entry mirror\/coat rack perfectly. The mounting system you designed seems to be very secure, no movement at all even when filled with weapon and spare magazines. The operation is easy and smooth, with the extra key cards provided I an able to have several opening options, which makes it more accessible. If I have any criticism it is that for me the shelf opens a bit too slow. Perhaps this is because either the gas struts are new or I don't have enough weight in it, but when I need access I really don't want to wait for it to open, hope this improves with use. The fit and finish is awesome and the size is perfect for my application, couldn't be happier as your product has solved one of the biggest issues with having a self defense weapon readily at had, but still secure... good job!

I have had back surgery recently so I have not had the time or the power to mount but one of the shelves and I can tell you the night I had the surgery There was a loud banging and the doorbell was going crazy at 3:15 am in the morning. Now I live in the country setting somewhat and there is never any good news at your front door at 3:15 in the morning.. I had to answer the front door but not without having piece of mind as the shelf worked in perfect order and I had my hand on my 9mm Taurus as my other hand was on the front door. It turned out there were two deputies from a neighboring county asking permission to go into my back field as they were chasing a suspect running from them. I can attest without your product and the work you guys do I would have been in a very different situation. I give you guys 5 stars on how well it is built and access into this shelf is absolutely flawless! Recommend one of these in every gun owners home. They won't be disappointed.

I could not believe it when I opened the package. I had high expectations, and they were clearly met. The color was exactly what I had requested, as was the size. But as I examined the shelf, I was impressed by the quality of craftsmanship that went into making this. There is nothing flimsy about this shelf, nor would anyone suspect it concealed my pistol. It just looks like an ornate shelf that matches my furniture. It does make a slight clicking sound when the RFID card is slid over the activation spot (I opted for the RFID over the magnet), but it would not be discernible to an intruder. The secret compartment opens easily and absolutely silently, and makes the weapon easily accessible. The interior has adhesive backed foam rubber that will need to be cut to fit a gun. I wish it had been a tad thicker, but it worked just fine. The instructions with the shelf were very clear and detailed. I would and do recommend this shelf to anyone seeking to keep a weapon handy yet hidden, and who desires a product that is solidly and beautifully made. I am very pleased with my purchase, as is my wife.

A buddy of mine who is a gun enthusiast and a finish carpenter helped me hang it. He raves about the quality and the the thought process behind it!

I bought 2 shelves and they are fantastic 5 star rating. The shelves arrived in the time period given and looked beautiful out of the box. My wife was skeptical when I ordered them but she loves how the look and she uses them more than I do. Its not just for storing a gun, she stores our passports and other travel documents, plus an emergency stash of money. Gave it as a Christmas gift to my husband. He thought it was fantastic! Hung it on the wall next to our bed, looks like a night table. It took a little work to get it just right so it would open a nd close perfectly but my husband got exactly right and it works great!

I have two Tacital Trap shelves. One large one over the fireplace and one small one. I liked the small one so much with the Glock, we purchased the larger one. I highly recommend it.

I would say I?m very pleased with the craftsmanship and the ease of installation. I love the shelf for various reasons. Starting with I?ve mounted it high to where children can?t access the shelf and have hidden the card glued on the bottom of a vase to be more inconspicuous. I?ve had many many people in the house and they have never known the ease of access to protection for the residence. Two of my closest friends, I?ve shown the trap and how it works: they have ordered one for themselves. My wife and I both agree that the times have changed and we have both once a month walk through a scenario together just so you have a response under pressure. The Tact Trap is very well thought of at our house: enough to have two in the house to cover ease of access. I really need the bigger trap for the larger weapon but will have to save a little more.

The cases are beautiful and totally functional, if I can get my wife to quit misplacing her keys!!! Hold all weapons securely, with mags, open quickly and relatively quietly. I have 3, 2 are totally functional and I need help with the large shelf. MY FAULT!!! I received the shelf and then moved, it got stored away in my garage while I decided where to mount in the new house, and for a WHILE my wife and I heard a muffled beeping sound, which died. I now have discovered that it was the batteries dying in the shelf, and I can't open it. HELP!!!!!

I ordered both sizes of shelves. I did upgrade the thickness of wood on the larger one. I am extremely happy with the size, craftsmanship, and price of the units. I have never mentioned the use of the shelf to any visitor who visits my house. Most comment how great a job I did building them. The locking mechanism has gone off without a hitch so far. Can't be more happy!

It is just the right size to hold the gun I have and it looks like a decorative shelf. No one would ever know what it holds. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

I ordered in the plain wood, it was fun to stain in order to get it to match my furniture, it blends in with the room amazing and most of all gives me peace of mind in an emergency situation. I have both the large and small shelf. They work great. I am looking to purchase another soon for my addition. My dad liked them so much, he also bought two for his home. Installation is easy with two people. A little tough doing it myself, especially the 4 foot shelf. Maybe have a locking bracket system that you can install and slide shelf down onto to hold. Then you could add a couple of screws to secure it.

The craftsmanship is outstanding. I purchased the rifle and 2 pistol versions for myself. The rifle version has plenty of room for an AR platform , several mags and a knife and flash light. I have yet to open the 2 pistol version. I gave 4.75 stars, instead of 5 because I was under the impression that a single magnet placed on top of the shelf would release the shelf.....the model I received required 2 magnets be placed in very particular places on the bottom of the she to release the locks. While this doesn't make it useless, I think it would be very difficult to accomplish under high stress conditions. I therefore intend to use it mainly for covert storage and not as my go to for emergencies. I am hoping the smaller version is what was depicted on the website. Still thrilled with the tactical trap for its innovation and quality.....slightly disappointed with the locking system.

The quality of the shelf I have received is excellent, beautifully stained and an exceptional addition to my home. Works wonderfully and stores my weapons without the unsightly appearance of firearms in a house with children. The comfort of knowing they are within easy access should I need them gives me a peace of mind only a mother with combat experience could understand. As a combat veteran, I understand, "Security is a perception...not a reality." My only fault with the your service is I still haven't recieved the light that was to accompany the shelf. If they are now in stock, may I have it shipped to the above address? I have the blue paper stating it would be shipped to me.

I love the shelf, but I haven't been able to put it up yet. It is 3\/8" too long to go anywhere in my house. The long walls are filled with windows, beds, sofas, fireplaces, built-ins or something I can't move. The short walls, like either side of the front door in the foyer, are 3\/8" too short for the shelf. I have wood trim moulding around every opening, and I can't cut a 3\/8" piece out of the door facing so the shelf will fit. I am considering giving up my piano, which would open up a spot, even though I don't want to do that. I measured before I ordered, but I didn't consider the moulding. I only measured the walls in the entry, and saw it would be tight. I have a big, 2 story house, with 3000 sq. ft downstairs. So I thought, "If it won't fit there, I'll find someplace to put it." I never dreamed it wouldn't fit on any wall in the house. But it is beautiful and I love it. The quality is superb, which only makes it harder. It has been a terrible dilemma for us. If you have any ideas, I would be eager to hear them. Thanks. And I look forward to hearing from you, and also getting the magnet holder.

The only limitations I had was the place I wanted to put it was to narrow to fit the shelf in. I had to put it in the second choice place.I have already recommended it to several people.

I live outside of Los Angeles and I bought myself one for my Business. I own a towing Company and at times we get some real irate people. My shelf is hanging right near the dispatch and release desk with towing items like die cast trucks on it etc.. a couple pictures. I was on vacation a couple months ago and my office was burglarized and the only thing the crooks took were a couple phones and cameras . Never found my Glock 10 mm in my tactical shelf, I was impressed by the workmanship\/ It looked great . I wasn't very happy about the delivery time as it took a very long time to get the shelf to me. But once it was here i was very happy with my purchase.. I found the shelf to be of high quality with a professional finish. It was easy to follow the installation instructions to set it in place in my Living Room close to the front door. The magnetic lock is easy to open reliably and the interior will support the pistol and magazines or even two pistols. I strongly recommend this shelf for a safe and secure place to hide a self defense weapon in plain sight.

5 stars plus if that is an optune.I installed the trap in a short time and set it up, carving out the fit for my pistol, two mags and a flashlight. It went pretty well and holds every thing in place and yes i would recommend this unit to any one needing a fast access to your weapon. I bought the smaller one { 3ft } not having the wall space but it can hold another pistol if I needed it. The trap itself works great with easy access in an isolated area giving me piece of mind. I love my tactical shelve. The shelve it?s self looks like a normal wall shelve and nothing special stands out about it. The tac works like a dream each and every time. Never fails to open. The shelve is very well built, and really people... I was surprised on how well and expensive it really looks. I store two hands two clips & one tac flashlight. We love our shelf. It was a Christmas present for my boyfriend. It has become the mantle we didn't have! Family pictures and current holiday cards and decorations have a nice place for display now. No one suspects it is anything other than a nicely placed shelf:) Installation and operation were easy to figure out! Great quality, and it arrived almost instantly! My two cents: I love my "trap" but if I were to change one thing, I'd make it a little less deep. Meaning it's difficult to find a place to hang it, at least for me, in my house. I can't hang it in a hallway without me or my wife worrying about hitting our heads or close to a door for the same reason. I have the perfect place for it where cover from entry points is great but I can't hang it there because it would stick out into a doorway too far. Don't get me wrong, it has its application and I'm not saying that you should stop making this shelf. Maybe make another shelf that is a few inches less in depth. Granted, it won't hold as much but it will have more available applications.

I bought two of your shelves, the regular size and the larger shelf, almost twice the size. The smaller one I have by my front door with two full full size handguns each with two extra magazines. The larger one is in my Family room holding two 9mm carbines and extra magazines for them. I ordered both in their bare state so I could finish them to accent where they were to be hung. The workmanship is very nice, and I didn?t have much prep work at all. Hanging them was just as easy and once on the wall, they?re solid and look great. I receive lots of comments and no one suspects they?re holding what they are. I bought 4 shelves , two for me and two for gifts for close friends. Since they are close friends they deserve the security and safety these shelves provide. One friend had his on the wall the next day when I stopped by. Had it stocked w\/ his favorite 9 and mags. And it was beautiful. The largest shelves hold my AR-10 as well as my Glock 19X and a mag or two.. The smaller shelf holds two pistols and two mags... Or will as soon as I get a couple more magnets... I bought the Natural Burnt Wood Flag as well.. Absolutely love them all... The way they open is perfect... I had been wanting one for a very long time so I bought three.. I would definitely recommend all three of them for any application on any wall... The two shelves are in two different businesses and the FLAG is on my wall at home. Hello ,Im pleasantly surprised by the quality of your shelves. I did end up buying two of the shelves. So far the smaller shelve in my bed room is holding my Kimber micro. The activation device is smooth, and steady and cradle my Kimber like a baby. I would definetly recommend these shelves to anyone that looking to conceal there guns, and protect there love one. looking forward to hanging the bigger shelf in my new home.

1. The shelf is well built and of quality materials. 2. Easy to install per provided instructions. 3. The foam inlay will accommodate any size hand gun\/s and you can cut out extra spots for clips as well. 4. The new back-up feature is an added plus if your batteries die and you haven't had a chance to replace them. I would highly recommend this shelf because even though it is not a safe it can keep your gun out of sight and away from small children as they will not know that you have hidden away. And as always be safe and smart when storing your guns.

These shelves are awesome! I tried to have some made before I found your company?s videos. Even the best carpenters couldn?t figure out how to make a shelf with a hidden gun storage that didn?t look obvious with exposed hinges. I bought 3 shelves: 2 standard (one for valuables and the other for ?home safety? devices. The 3rd for my birding shotgun. They look beautiful and match my decor. I also got the thick steel door protector. No one will ever kick in my front door! I love and highly recommend your products.

I received your email about our purchase for the Tactical shelves. After receiving the Tactical shelves that my family and I purchase from your company we installed them in our home. After teaching my immediate family how to use them and to properly secure our weapons, it was unanimous that everybody was very impressed with both of the shelves. Also, I have shown these same shelves to several people (that I trust and with whom I work with L.E.), and the response has was overwhelming, requesting contact information and web addresses for your company. About the only thing that I could think of to change the shelves would be purely cosmetics by way of adding additional Woods that you use in your building of the shelves, and for our taste would be a solid Oak, Maple, or Black Walnut (combination of woods). As far as the construction, there doesn't appear to be any thing that I would change at all. The product is functional, very nice looking and is in place with our interior decorations, extremely sturdy (and we'll built) when properly mounted, the locking mechanism and the Hydraulics all work fabulously. The compartment is ample size to hold the weapons and items I have stored away that I selected to be stored and each of the two particular shelves. From a Glock model 27 to my AR-15. The security lock works well and appears to both hold the shelving close tightly and secured. I will continue to recommend your products to family, friends, and co-workers. I am also a department and civilian Firearms instructor. I have been asked if I could take the smaller shelf and a magnet to one of our general meetings so our members can see, touch, try them. I purchased my Tactical Trap and installed it right next to my desk. It is a very well made product that I highly recommend it for anyone needing such an item. Installation was not hard once I figured out where the stud was in my wall and centered the shelf. I used butterfly anchors on either side to secure it to the sheet rock. I highly recommend using a level to insure you keep the shelf level when drilling. Customer service was great while I was awaiting shipment. They kept me well informed throughout the build process.

My shelf arrived a few weeks ago, but I had to finish moving in to install it. Did that today. First the quality was excellent. Hardware and lock are strong and durable. I used four 2 1\/2 wood screws with two in studs (short wall near a corner) and it is very stable. My wife is pleased with the appearance and is looking for things to put on the shelf. My only problem was that the lock didn't close easily, but Bree in Customer Support sent a link that was spot on. Easy fix and my Sig 226 is snug and ready if needed. Great product that I have and will continue to recommend to others.

My shelf works great although I do have to press up on the bottom while activating the magnet release or it won?t open. To me it provides another safety step only I know about My flag trap is perfect. My only desire is that it would open automatically upon release of the magnet. It looks like a nice piece of Americana art.

Let me start by saying I love the shelves. I have one and I purchased one for my son. As for a rating I would say 4.5. I see 2 flaws. Due to my personal to my handicaps and my experience with wood I would like to see addressed. One; If I remember correctly the mounting instructions said use mollies. My attempt to drill aligned me with a wall stud. Personally if I can put a screw into a stud I would rather that than a molly. Even if the holes are not evenly spaced I would still try to get at least one screw into a stud. In the situation that somebody does hit the stud, you do not advise what type of screw to use. With mt wood experience I went to a 2 inch cabinet screw or I could have used a Pan Head screw. Someone with less experience may use a Sheet Rock or a Flat Head screw witch would cause the mounting board to split or crack. This possibly could have rendered the shelf unsturdy or worse, unusable. Two: Design a way of replacing the batteries without having to open the unit or design a way to open the unit if the batteries go dead without having to do damage to the shelf attempting to open it. I understand there is a warning that the batteries are weak, but I go away for extended periods of time in which that warning would not be heard. A personal disadvantage I have also is Tinnitus. Even if I am there I will not hear the warning signal. I have taken precautions and mark my calendar to remind me to change the batteries. I know I have special handicaps to cater to but some sort of secondary way to open the shelf wouldn't be a bad idea. Thanks for listening and thanks for asking for input.

I bought 2 shelves, a 52R and a 35S not knowing what to expect as far as quality goes. They were a little on the pricey side, but as a business owner I understand the cost in R&D & materials. The company states its products are made in the USA, so the higher price was worth it to me knowing it was built in the US while supporting our own workers. When you have a niche product that people want, they will buy it. The build quality is excellent and these traps meet my expectations. Great design, great product and great customer service. Be advised, these take time to build. I'm use to getting everything off the ol' interwebs in 2 days. However, these are made to order, custom built and mine took about 3-4 weeks. Be patient, they are worth it.

I have purchased two tac-trap shelves. By far some of the coolest shelves I have seen. I give them 5 star on the quality and design. I have many friends that all have side arms sitting in the drawers. I showed them mine,(only a select few that I can trust) and a few of my buddies actually bought them as well. I purchased two shelves, one for myself and the second for a fellow Officer. We both have it strategically mounted in our respective homes. As 30 year veterans of Law Enforcement and approaching retirement, this was the ideal and most practical gift for him (and to myself). I only wish this was available earlier on in our careers. This product definitely warrants the highest rating possible and I have recommended it to others, not only Law Enforcement but to anyone that may keep a firearm in their home or place of business.

I bought the big and small shelves. A little difficult hanging the really big one, kind of awkward. Bought both without stain. Had a hard time matching a color for birch that went with our other wood in the house, but none of the prefinished ones were close either. Ended up mixing two colors. Other than that, we are very satisfied with our shelves.

Great customer service and a beautiful product. You were great about exchanging my shelf for a size that worked better for me, and for replacing a light that didn't work. The shelf looks great in my new home. I haven't cut out the foam for my guns because I'm waiting to get a new pistol. I did find it a little tricky to find a trinket to use to disguise my credit card sized opening magnet, but I took on the challenge and found something cool. Your photos\/videos show a much smaller object, so I'm assuming that the magnets got larger since you did those photos. Otherwise, all is good!

I like the shelf very much, it is not really noticeable and it is working very well. I did have to put a new battery in it immediately as the one that came with it wasn?t up to snuff. After that it has worked just fine. I have a Sig elite 45 and a full clip besides installed in it and I test it regularly. I also installed the motion sensor light that arrived a little later and it works fine also. I give it 5 stars.

I was so impressed with the Tactical trap that I received. It is exceptionally crafted. I've told a few of my friends about it, two of them order their own tactical traps. It is a highly recommended product from me. I want to order the AR trap. Also their customer service rocks!

Positives: I like the first one so much I bought a second one. Seems to color match well with the furniture. Appears discreet and well constructed. Recommended to my friends. All in all a fantastic product. Highly recommended. Negatives: The foam that comes with it seems to be a little bit thin could be thicker would hold weapons a lot better. Locking mechanism seems to stick sometimes even after adjusting it. Have more colors available.

I received my tactical shelf from my wife as a Christmas gift. It is the first tactical concealment device I have owned. I did run into an issue while installing it. I experienced difficulty mounting the shelf as the studs in the wall weren't exactly 16" on center. Making the shelf a couple of inches longer would help with that issue. The shelf is extremely well made and the finish is flawless. The shelf was initially a bit sluggish opening, however, it has loosened up and now opens perfectly. I've shown the shelf to several friends and family and they plan to order one also.

I ordered a tactical trap when I was remodeling, I was very excited to receive it!! I mounted it with ease and was very pleased, I had went on vacation and when I got back the trap would not open!! I contacted support and they were very responsive and guided me through my ordeal!! I am very happy now! My shelf is 35.5 inch's wide, dark mahogany color. I do regret not buying one a little bigger, maybe one day I will buy a larger one! The shelf is what I needed exactly. I use it as a bed side shelf and I keep two 9mm in it. It works even better that I thought it would. I would highly recommend it to anyone. Thank you.

I found the tactical trap shelf I purchased to be everything I hoped for! The craftsmanship was excellent and it worked as promised and was large enough for my weapons and a little room left over to stash a few other items. I didn't like the fact that the foam for the inside was shipped separately as it meant I had to wait a while to be able to use my shelf. Bottom line is would I recommend this shelf to friends and strangers alike and the answer is yes, wholeheartedly, it works as advertised and is American made!, enough said.

My 2 shelves that I got from these guys are awesome . haven't had a chance to really use them , and i hope i dont , but its nice to know there right there..And the family members that know think there a great idea
